Which game has the best music? (title, hourly themes, events, places, etc.)

My favorite Animal Crossing music comes from the GCN version, especially the 1pm-2pm (I forget which one) that has random meow sounds. Most of the music was pleasant to listen to. Wild World also had great music. I thought the peppy soundtrack was more fitting for the game, since a lot of the gameplay consisted of monotonous tasks. New Leaf had boring music, in my opinion. Most of it sounded like elevator or cafe music, which isn't necessarily bad, but it made the game feel even more like a chore once everything became a pattern and there wasn't much else to explore.

Wild World is the most nostalgic for me personally.

I like New Leaf but I agree that it's not as good as the others. I like the direction I've heard from New Horizons so far.

Nostalgia tells me that Population Growing should be my favorite, but I really love New Leaf's soundtrack. It's good inside and outside the game, for having in the background while working or relaxing, etc. But overall the series has been really consistent with soundtrack quality so I'm expecting big things from New Horizons.

It's a VERY close tie between Gamecube and Wild World for me. I grew up on Gamecube but imo, Wild World has some prettier melodies and is more coherent. I don't care for New Leaf's soundtrack except for the 11pm music but I really like some of the added K.K. songs.
