So im currently experiencing OCD about a very minor decoration choice. Im trying to decide whether to put my fireplace on left or ride side of my room. I do sorta like how the fireplace compliments the imperial shelves on the right side. But at the same time, i feel like the stereo looks considerably better on right side to.
I like the second option. Overall, you did an amazing job with your decorating! There’s just something about how having the fireplace on the left makes the room’s flow a tiny bit better (imo).
I like the fireplace on the left, stereo on the right (second option). but you’re right though, the imperial shelves does look good with the fireplace as well.
Personally, I like the way it looks beneath the shelves on the right. Normally I like pictures above fireplaces, but I feel like the shelves make it feel a bit... IDK, cozier? But that's just me!
I prefer the second one. The fireplace being on the left seems more balanced. When it’s placed on the right, there’s just too much going on. I prefer the left placement.
Either option looks good but I prefer the fireplace on the left (second option) as I like having something flat and more square shaped above the fireplace, such as a picture, because I think it compliments the fireplace better.
The shelves do look nice above the fireplace but I think with those and the decoration placed on top of the fireplace there seems to be a lot going on, looks a little cluttered to me.
Hi. It looks like you’re getting a pretty even split of left versus right for the fireplace. LOL. I like the fireplace on the right. The reason is because I like the fireplace paired with the imperial shelves, and the stereo paired with the paintings. So, for me you could simply move the fireplace to the left, as long as you moved the shelves with it. Either way you go, your room is beautiful, so you can’t lose!
Both options look great! I would have the fireplace on the right under the shelves though. I would worry that the swords on the fireplace would block part of the bottom of the painting which would detract from the enjoyment of both the painting and the swords. With the fireplace on the right the swords and shelves can be enjoyed equally. You could always remove the swords if you'd like but that would be totally up to you.
