Who are the best (and worst) lion villagers? 🦁

I don’t like any of the lions tbh. Their heads look really weird to me (maybe it’s the size). However, seeing how I’ve started liking a few villagers of species I don’t like I think if I had one on my island that they may grow on me. Rex and Elvis are the two that I could like eventually. I voted Elvis though. His appearance bothers me the least of all the lions.

Honestly not a huge fan of any of the lions either, but if I had to invite one to my island I'd do Elvis.
Worst: Rex. I think the amount of times I've ran into him on a mystery island has consolidated my dislike for him haha

My favorite of them is Jubei. He seems pretty cool, and I'd be happy to have him in my village/town/island if he returned to a future game.
It was pretty hard to pick a least favorite since I don't like any of the modern lions that much, but I ended up deciding on lionel.

man i don't think i have anything overtly good or bad about any of the lions. lionel took forever to leave my island so i have a bit of a bone to pick with him but honestly i think the lions are by far the most drab and forgettable villager type. and you know what they say: it's better to suck than to be mid

I like Elvis, he has the perfect design for a king, and he's a nostalgic villager for me. I had him as my starting cranky in New Leaf, and I also got him later in Wild World.
I don't care for Rory's design, he looks like he got ketchup splattered everywhere on his face.

Elvis - First of all great name. Secondly I love his fabulously bushy eyebrows. I also really like his little battle scars, it just makes him look like he has an interesting backstory.
Bud - His design gives off surfer/hippie kinda vibes and I like it.
Worst:
Rory - Not a fan of his design, I think it's a combination of the mustache and the little fangs he has

I don't know why but I find the Lion islanders to look a bit creepy. So I do not really have a favourite lion.

I love a lot of the lions!! I really hope we get lioness villagers in the next game; I think that'd be rad.
Leopold is one of my absolute favorite villagers overall, and I was super happy that he was obtainable without Amiibo/villager trading in New Horizons. I just love the little professor lion for some reason. I also really like Lionel, although his home requests in Happy Home Designer/Paradise are ???

I gotta say, I wish there were some female lions.
Either way, I abseoltely LOVE Lionel~! Despite him being called the toliet king for HHp, I've had him since New Leaf, and just love his whole attitude, the beared/mouchace. He's great~
I also like the look of Rory and Leopald! The others sadly are meh, and Elvis looks like hes been through enough.

Bud and Elvis!
Bud is super fun to have around. I had Bud and Boots living next door to each other for a while.
Elvis is just the king of the lions. His house is amazing. His clothes are amazing. His crankiness is amazing. Great guy to have on the island. He had his own designated area
Neither of them live on my island anymore, though. I really regret letting them move away. That was back when i was cycling through villagers and not really sure which ones i wanted to keep as permanent neighbors.
Now that I've had some more villagers rotate through, i might try to get them back on the island again.

To be honest, none of the lions are very high up in my list of villagers, but that being said, the best lion villager would have to be Leopold for me. He kind of has a professor vibe, which makes sense since he has the education hobby. I also like his color scheme for the most part. His inner ear color is the only thing that throws me off a bit.
My least favorite is Bud. I just don't really like the vibe he gives off, and he is a jock, which is one of my least favorite personality types. He looks like he would be annoying. I will say though that I looked up pictures of him with different glasses, and he's much cuter without the sunglasses
