Who else here is seriously into plants???

I definitely like plants a lot, especially cacti. :) I don't have more than two right now but I'm planning to get more and surround myself with them! If I didn't accidentally kill my Christmas succulent by overwatering it I'd still have that too...

Here are the two cacti I currently have though:

They're cute! I love cacti, and I really love the funny pot that just says plants on it lol

Plants are great, beautiful little beings. I usually name the ones I get, people think its weird but whatevs.
I left some home when I went back to school after winter break and my mom let them die, I was reviving one and she was getting soo pretty she was a purple Celosia I found dying in a store and took on the challenge of bringing her to better health :(

I lovveee plants. In fact, this summer I'm starting a garden. I plan on growing potatoes, carrots, and tomatoes. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Don't feel weird, I named mine too, until I got more and more and became lazy. My favorite was my chives, named chivealry. Just chivalry with an e, pronounced chive arly lol. My other one's were not as creative.

Lavender! Lavender is so great, it's pretty, it smells good, you can even eat it. It is edible, it makes for some nice tea. Lavender is in the mint family. Not sure if you HAVE to have the culinary specific lavender, but I made tea with the random plants my mom was growing. Definitely grow herbs too, also maybe some gourds. :)

I love plants, I really do. But I make an awful plant mom... I really wish I had more time and a better schedule for plant care, but being nocturnal doesn't really bode well for this... I adore succulents, my favorite are the string of pearl succulents and the tiny "fairy butts" or lithops, they're really adorable looking. If I had more time and space I would for sure cultivate a little garden. Perhaps when I have a different job and my own house. ^u^

I love plants but they don't love me. If I even look at them sideways they die. I want to figure out how to properly care for them someday though cuz I've always wanted to have a flower garden, I'd even take a tabletop sized one at this point. I have one rose bush and that's it lol (it's special tho I will seriously cry if it dies)

But like, you don't even need free time to care for succs, I promise! All you need is to water them like, one every few weeks. It takes a minute, and they make you so happy T_T

I used to kill almpst every plant I had, my mom tells people I'm a plant murderer. So I started with easier to care for plants, and I'm working my way up. Getting help from others and the internet. It's a huge improvement and I am so pleased!

I used to have an awesome collection of cacti, on every window sill. ^_^

For me it's mostly the "where do I put this thing" cause I don't have space in my room, plus I have blackout shades, so I either put it out side or near a window in the kitchen where they either don't get enough sun, or too much sun, or freeze... I don't even know. They just are better off in other people's care. T_T

I guess if your house can't accommodate them. My sister though used to leave her cactus outside without any care in the summer, and then in the winter we left it in our garage which isn't outside but still gets very cold and it did just fine. Absolutely blew our minds...

I love cacti so much, but I'm picky since I have so many choices, and I only own two at the moment.

Yeah the weather where I live is pretty unpredictable. My mom has gotten several "flapjacks" and they all died of shock because of the freezing night temps. =[ You'd think California would be great for succulents but in the mountains where I live the weather is just all over the place.

I'm bad at taking care of plants. :c I wanna get better though. I have a bamboo plant that's been growing decently! I've thought about getting another easy to raise plant like a cactus but I have a plant eating cat soo. XP

im starting to love plants too! i was always surrounded by them since we have a garden and my mo is really into flowers and growing vegetables etc, but i never really liked that because im terrified of insects and plants are usually full of them. but im slowly getting over that and i discovered that plants have a very comforting influence on me. i have 6 in my room, the only one i know is aloe vera but i have a few succs and two plants with pink flowers !! i wanna get more, and i want to help my mom in the garden too. i wish i knew names of plants and their purposes but its really difficult to remember it all ;;
i also love having fresh bouquets in my room, im tempted to buy myself flowers to put in my room but that sounds a bit sad and i dont want my parents to think that im /receiving/ them from someone else jkhgfdty lol

i love plants honestly!! im a big fan of nature and i just love tending to them... its so relaxing! We have alot of plants at home but i daydream about getting my own place and just deadass build a forest

Your garden sounds lovely! I'm a bit too flakey with gardening to do much of it myself, but I've been super into pansies lately, and my Mom is a pretty intense gardener and loves growing her own vegetables.
