Who is the best (and worst) cub villagers and why? 🐼

BEST: Stitches or Maple. Stitches' design is one of the cutest and most unique ones out there. He is a cute lazy stuff toy bear!!! At first, his eyes creeped me out, but i eventually grew to like him. Maple's design and aesthetic just matches her cuddly personality. I would love to have her on my island
HONORABLE MENTION: Olive, for being my first ever starter normal villager in NH

WORST: Vladimir. Idk HOW long i tried to get him off my old island (that i shared with my siblings)... he was moved in by Tom Nook and we LOATHED him. Tbh, he could probably be one of my least favorite villagers of all time...

Maple Interests me the most so I voted for her. I am also curious about Cheri.
Kody I've had, and I really don't like him. Maybe if my experience didn't involved every single villager getting mad at Kody within the first week of him appearing I probably wouldn't have such a negative outlook on him.

I have experienced a lot of the cubs across my islands. I even considered doing an all cub island at one point! I've had Bluebear, Judy, Maple, and Vladimir so far. In other games I had Marty, Pekoe, and Cheri as well. I think my favorites have to be Maple and Vladimir. Vlad gets a lot of hate for the way he and his house look but I took him on to fill my cranky requirement for reactions and he is not going anywhere for a while. I love interacting with him! Maple is undeniably cute and I feel if I were a villager she'd be one I'd get along well with. She's one of my favorite villagers regardless of species!

In terms of the worst of cubs....Barold, my guy, just NO. Barold creeps me out so much. His house is so creepy too- a little voyeur server farm area. I won't judge him by his looks, he can't help that, but c'mon, don't be creepy!

I love so many of the cub villagers so it was really hard trying to not vote for loads of them, I picked 4 in the end and voted for Judy, Maple, Cheri and Olive. I didn't think I'd be keen on Judy when I first saw her as I wasn't too sure about her eyes but she's become a permanent resident on my island as I've fallen in love with her pastel colour scheme and how it reminds me of a beanie baby, plus she's a snooty which I really like. I've previously had Maple and I think she's adorable, Olive is really cute and underrated and I think Cheri has a really pretty colour scheme. Special mentions to Blueabear, Pekoe, June and Poncho who are all adorable too (honestly I could go on and on with the cubs ).

My least favourite would probably be Barold, he's pretty plain (which isn't always a bad thing with villagers but I just don't find him very appealing), also I'm not keen on the fact his design looks like he has a beard as it doesn't really seem right for a cub, I'd be able to ignore this more if he were a bear villager. Also not entirely sure on how I feel about Stitches as I'm not overly keen on his eyes (or lack off) but I've never had him so I might warm to him if I gave him a try.

I just want to get it out that I prefer the bear cub villagers than the actual bear villagers so voting was really hard.

BEST:
Stitches. Followed by Chester and Poncho

Stitches has the best design. Very cute and I love the living teddy theme. In NL, I had him in my town for a fairytale town and have loved him ever since. He's on my island at the moment as well. His home interior also fits really well with his theme. I have a headcanon that he's actually the player's teddy bear come to life because of all the Mom items in his house.

I also like Chester and Poncho so I voted for them but there are other cub I coudve included like Maple, Pekoe, and Olive.

Worst:
Barold. Unsurprising. I know he gets lots of hate but I scratch my head in wonder how the devs thought someone could like that design. It makes me feel more sorry for him rather than hate him, especially when other players rage hate him.

i love a LOT of the cubs but judy is by far the most adorable villagers i have ever seen in my life and i love everything about her
maple, chester and stitches are cute too ^-^

the worst is vladimir, i've seen so much hate towards barold but i'd rather have him than vladimir

Murphy is my favorite! I love his colors! He reminds me of a St. Patrick's Day Beanie Baby and I'm all for it!

Funny enough, I used to not like Barold either, but he's kind of grown on me? I think my least favorites are Kody and Chester. Chester just looks like he's breathing through his mouth all the time and Kody looks a little too smug for my liking. It's like he's plotting something. D:

I think Maple is super cute and I would love to have her on my island. I also voted for Judy, who is on my island. I love her pretty fur. I know her eyes are a bit strange, but they remind me of the eye style used by my favorite doll company when I was little.

Best: Maple, Stitches and Pekoe. I also love the fact Stitches is a stitched up teddy bear. For Pekoe and Maple, I just think both are really cute, never had Pekoe on one of my islands but if I ever come across her I won't hesitate to invite her!

Worst: Barold. His face is really creepy? I hate animals that have facial hair lol

I really really want to love the cubs. I love the basic design of them. Their short little legs and round little bodies and big heads. But they just most of the time are missing some little something i can’t describe, maybe a quirkiness, to make them stand out for me. They tend to be a little plain, but maybe it is just that I have never really had one on my island and become attached as I have with other fairly plain normal designs like Flurry and Maggie (but also maybe I just love the pigs and hamsters more)

Judy is obviously a not too exciting or original choice but I try not to let popularity of villagers effect my opinions on who I like and don’t like, and I really like Judy! I like that she is colorful, I like her house, I like her crazy eyes, and I like that even though she is a snooty she still seems very sweet and cute to me.

Honorable mentions:

June is very cute, and I almost almost invited her at one point (but she would have been my third normal and I decided I just did not like her enough to be a reason to let Maggie move away). But I like her catchphrase and she does standout a bit to me. Her house is truly terrible inside, not because it is all pink shell furniture and nothing else, but because the furniture looks just randomly displayed, not set up into a real room.

Barold - is one of my husband’s favorite villagers and though I do not know that he will ever be invited to one of my islands, he is hilarious and very original. His surveillance themed house is insane and for some reason I always misremember his tiger print shirt as being a leotard. I have a lot of love for stand out designs, so I just appreciate barold a lot as a glorious weirdo.

I just came across Vladimir on a mystery island last night and it was pleasantly surprised! I was looking for someone else at the time so I didn't take him, but he seems like an under appreciated villager.

My favorites would probably be Maple and Pekoe. I'd like to have one or both at some point but I already have 3 normals and am not sure who to let go at the moment.

I've had Bluebear and liked her. I have Cheri's amiibo but haven't invited her yet. She kind of has the Bob side-eye thing going on where she always looks like she's up to something

Worst: Chester. why does he......... look like that? I hate that all the pandas in the game are weird looking in some way.
