I don't think there's a worst cub villager, but my favourite cub villager is Tammy! I also think Maple's and June's designs are really cute. I haven't met Cheri, but her design is adorable, and Murphy and Pudge have pretty cute designs too. Overall, bear cubs are just adorable.
Bluebear is my favourite. She's my island baby. She wasn't one I really noticed before. My least favourite is Judy, because Judy is always walking around being a brat to everyone. Especially Bluebear.
Wait, isn't he a bear? Idk why, but bears and cubs are separate species.
But to answer the question...
My favorite: Kody. Why Kody? Well, he's one of the only cubs I've ever met in-game, so...
My least favorite: Barold, surprising absolutely nobody. Look, I think he's alright, but I feel kinda obligated to dislike him.
I don't think I realized prior to seeing this thread that I quite like most of the cub villagers. They all have such pleasant designs. I think June and Pekoe are the two that I've often found myself wishing would visit my campsite, but I also really like Maple. Incidentally, I adore that Olive has such a deeply unsettling thousand yard stare combined with a gentle but timid smile. I think she has some issues to work out, but I'm here for her if she needs me.
If I had to choose one to dislike, it would probably be Barold. I don't know; he looks like someone with whom I had a political disagreement at Starbucks.
Picking a favourite bear cub is so hard, most of them have adorable designs. I think I love Pekoe the most. Oh, and Murphy! He reminds me of matcha tea and I absolutely love him for that. My least favourite is probably Vladimir. I have nothing against him personally, I just don't like his shade of pink. Also I'll be honest, Stitches is cute but he's a tiniest bit unsettling.
I don't know which cubs are the best but for New Horizons, Marty,Pekoe and Judy are my favorites.I wouldn't mind having any of the cubs on my island because I think they're all at least kind of interesting.There is one thing about this particular species I've wondered about and that is why does the game have cubs and big bears but no kittens,puppies,ducklings,piglets,etc. to go along with their respective adult species?Seems like a natural thing to have in the game,at least with the more popular species.
Best boy is Stitches, I love his design even if his eyes are a bit creepy lol. Pudge is very unique too! Maple is the best girl, and I need to mention Chester. I love pandas, not really in this game, his face is fun even if his mount is not that awesome.
Barold is the worst. Not very original here sorry, but just I can't. I don't understand why he does exist. He is just ugly.
Poncho is my favorite. He's such a fun villager to be around. It's sort of funny when he acts like he's strong, but he's technically a kid. Kids gotta grow big to become strong. I also think Bluebear is super cute, but can be a bit much sometimes due to the peppy personality in general. Ignoring that, however, she could easily be a good non-Stitches plush alongside Poncho.
And yeah, Barold is probably the worst in terms of looks. He looks like he hit puberty way too early. Vladimir's appearance doesn't really match the cranky personality, and it's soooooo weird hearing him talk about how he's an old fart (at least Murphy can pull off the cranky personality alright IMO, he sort of reminds me of Brock from the Pokémon anime), and I'm not a big fan of Chester's appearance either.
I like murphy a lot, he's cranky and his sci-fi RV items from new leaf were the best! His house in new horizons is the complete opposite, but I feel like it fits him just as well. I also like his E-Reader card letter too. Judy's my least favorite, but at least her expressions are cute.
hmmm the cubs are a hard one. i guess my favourite overall would be marty. i love pompompurin (granted he's not my absolute favourite sanrio character for sure) and he's a nice soft shade of yellow! plus i love his little hat, it makes his head look like a little honey pot it's so cute. also look at his little eyebrows awe
olive, maple, and poncho are honourable mentions.
my least favourites would have to be pudge, barold, and stitches. pudge like many other villagers ruined my new leaf town and plotted right in front of where i wanted a bridge, so i had to force her the hell out. barold looks like a creep and i don't like stitches' colours at all, he's too busy and i don't like the x eyes.
I like all the cub islanders I had stitches as my day one islander. I have also had bluebear on my island I would like to have more cubs visit my island.
The bear cubs are adorable and I can see myself making an island just for them. My favorites are Olive , Maple and Marty. I was so happy when I finally found Olive.
Vladimir just looks like he’s up to something. I’m not sure about Barold either.
The cubs are probably a top tier species of villager all around. As a previous user mentioned, their short stubby legs and bodies are the recipe for that cute chibi look that we all know and love. I really like Judy and I have her on my island, though honestly, I've been thinking about letting her go in exchange for a new villager. I mean, we all gotta switch it up sometimes, though it would be hard to get rid of her because she is so stinkin' cute. June is pretty cute and I like her design a lot. Stitches, we love stitches, she's a cute patootie 100%. I like Murphy's color a lot.
Barold needs some work. His design is confused. His demeanor is unsettling. Weird name. Barold kinda sucks. It's a shame, he's actually the only cub I don't really like.
I think the best cub villager is Maple. I had Pekoe in my New Leaf town for a while, as a starter, but I think Maple slightly edges out here.
The worst one, in my opinion, is Chester, for no real reason. I don’t hate him, but he’s just my least favorite out of all of them. But Poko needs to be brought back in the next game. Look at this face and tell me you think otherwise.
