The cubs are so cute and have so many good designs I could only settle on a top five for the best! ;v; Murphy is adorable and is probably my top favorite of the bunch, especially with the nice green coloration, but Pekoe is really pretty and cute as well! I love her eye color and the touches of pink in her design. June is also super cute, so I'm surprised I don't see her more often! I love the little flower in her hair that she has. Olive and Maple are also both adorable villagers.
I used to hate Barold but seeing him in some of @/Bluebellie's island screenshots made him grow on me a lot! So now I'd probably rank Vladimir as worst cub. Those colors just aren't working for him.
I've had many Maples within my years of playing animal crossing and not once has she disappointed me She's a cutie and my must-have normal for all of the AC games she's in!!
The worst is Barold and it's not even close LOL. I don't see what they were going for AT ALL with his design. Every time I notice a new detail on his face he just looks worse...
Best: Judy! I think she's adorable -- I really like characters that are overly cute but sort of give... rude vibes? gap moe be real
Also stitches, for obvious reasons - I love colourful characters and teddybears!
As for the worst... i think i have to go with pudge. he's still cute, but his expression is sorta too ( ˘･﹏･˘ ) altho he sorta reminds me of sour gummies so maybe its acceptable
Stitches is my number one favorite always. He's so colorful and has a very sweet personality for a lazy villager. I love how we have a collectible of him too. Judy and June are close seconds.
Least favorite would be Pudge. Whenever I went hunting for Stitches on my island in the past, Pudge always showed up instead of him and made me think it was Stitches. It made me so frustrated.
I dunno how much I like the cub villagers? I dunno. I do like some.
I love Olive, Judy, and Cheri.
Their designs are so adorable, and Judy has a fantasically funny shocked face. She reminds me of like that cute pop idol who has a disgust face.
Maple is pretty adorable, but not as loved. I've got some interest in Poncho due to having him in New leaf, and I've had Barold and he seems alright.
Pudge is currently in New Leaf, and I want them to leave ;_; Funnily enough, I do wanna try out Vladimir XD
We got screwed over for not having a lil cub called cupcake. She was also Snooty, so a perky cupcake XD
My favorite of the cub villagers is June. Honorable mentions to Judy and Cheri.
My thoughts on each of the cub villagers:
Barold: I'm sorry, but I'm not of a fan of his beard-like marking, pink lips, or eyes. He's just not for me.
Bluebear: I like her light-blue fur and pink blush, but she's a bit plain to me overall.
Cheri: She's really cute. I like the color of her fur, eyelashes, tuft of hair, and her smile.
Chester: I love pandas, but I do not love Chester. When it comes to panda villagers, I much prefer Pinky the bear. His facial expression with the red cheeks...
Judy: I love her light blue and pink coloration and her sparkly eyes. Her v mouth suits her as well. Her shocked expression is also great.
June: My favorite little bear cub. I like her tropical style with the hibiscus flower in her hair and her more neutral color scheme. Her eyes are a nice shade of blue.
Kody: A cute blue cub. When it comes to eyebrows, I think I prefer when they blend in more with the villager's fur color, like Cheri's eyebrows.
Maple: She's my fourth or fifth favorite cub. I guess I like brown bears. Her simple eyes with their eyelashes and her light pink blush are really cute.
Marty: I like his little acorn cap. He has the vibe of a mischievous kid.
Murphy: His color scheme is nice. I like the darker green spot on the top of his head and ear. I'm not a big fan of the closed eyes though.
Olive: She's okay, but her wide-eyed gaze makes her look a bit intense.
Pekoe: She's my fourth or fifth favorite along with Maple. I just love her design.
Poncho: He's fine, but there's nothing particularly remarkable about him to me.
Pudge: Actually, he's pretty high up on my list of cubs. I like that his ears are half green, and he has a really interesting facial expression that I like.
Stitches: I like the concept of him being a teddy bear, but his eyes and color scheme aren't my favorite. Too much orange.
Tammy: She's cute. Her expression make her look kind of sassy.
Vladimir: I like the pink, but that's about it really.
She's a cutie and my must-have normal for all of the AC games she's in!!
