Who likes anime?

Is Macross Frontier the same as Robotech?

And I think you may have ore variety than me... I've just watched a couple really long ones :p
Robotech is an altered version of the original Macross - "Super Dimension Fortress Macross". From the '80s. I haven't seen it yet. Macross Frontier is the most recent entry into the series, and I really enjoyed watching it. Not the best, but it was fun.

I really don't. I've given it countless chances, but it's not for me. I do recall liking Nana and Paranoia Agent, though.

Manga is usually more tolerable

Wow, a 10 y/o necro... amazing. I've watched a lot of appropiate anime as a kid because it was super popular here - the first two seasons of Digimon being my absolute favorite thing ever for nostalgia reasons. I really want to get back into it and I don't really care if what I'm watching is live action or animated as long as the story is interesting, but I don't really know where to start either. Within the last couple of years I've only watched Death Note and the Danganronpa anime. I just feel like as someone who grew up with anime in the late 90's / early 00's I'm just super disconnected from the modern era of it.

I enjoy it once in a while, I'm more likely to watch the movies instead for the sake of time.
Series are usually unnecessarily long.

According to My Anime list I watched: 519 TV, 112 OVA, 51 Movies, 112 special for a total of 9621 episodes

So 147.36 days spent watching anime :/ not including dropped, incomplete and those on hold....

My favorites are:

Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei (The Tatami Galaxy)
FLCL
Mushishi
Mononoke
Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu
Saraiya Goyou
NHK ni Youkoso!
Nana
Hoozuki no Reitetsu
Paranoid Agent
3-gatsu no Lion
Tokyo Godfathers

I haven't watched some recently though.
