Who's your fave author?

The one that first decided to add pictures and have somebody vocalize all of the words. Then put it into a box that sits in front of my bed.

I haven't read enough of one author to have an opinion of a favorite author, there are a lot of good ones though.

Yukio Mishima and Ryu Murakami.

Sadly their stuff is not too widely available here but they are hella awesome, the things I've managed to get my hands on.

Jos? Saramago and Fernando Pessoa are really great too even if they haven't translated too much where I live :c

another vote for Haruki Murakami! i've read about 6-7 of his books by now, and i've liked all of them, with Norwegian Wood being my favorite of his. it's not very often i read more than one book by an author, but i couldn't let Murakami go.

A lot of authors...Phillip Pullman would have to be at the top of my list. Followed by Anne Rice, and then there are few others I've been in love with lately. Storm Constantine is not my favorite, but he writes lovely stories.

Well .... My favourite one is of course Daniel "Dan" Brown who is an American author of thriller fiction who is best known for the 2003 bestselling novel The Da Vinci Code. Brown's novels are treasure hunts set in a 24-hour period, and feature the recurring themes of cryptography, keys, symbols, codes, and conspiracy theories. His books have been translated into 52 languages, and as of 2012, sold over 200 million copies. Three of them, Angels & Demons (2000), The Da Vinci Code (2003), and Inferno (2013), have been or are being adapted into films. Gotta love him ! Da vinci code best book ever .
(please don't report me guys )

Hah, yeah of course he is good too but ya everyone mentioned him already :p

my favorite novel ever is "Catch-22" by Joseph Heller, but that's his only book that i've ever read.

other authors that i've read extensively and really like include mostly modernist classics i guess:
Ernest Hemingway, William Faulkner, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jack Kerouac, Kurt Vonnegut, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Dostoyevsky, James Joyce, Jules Verne, Zora Neal Hurston, and Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings.

I read a lot of Tolkien, Asimov, Piers Anthony, and Anne McCaffrey when i was a kid...

i probably have a ton i can't even remember, but off the top of my head, terry pratchett, jrr tolkien, lemony snicket, edgar allan poe, stephen king, william goldman, philip pullman, cs lewis...there's probably dozens more tbh

harry potter is my favorite series of all time, so i'd add jk rowling, but for some reason i'm not all that fond of her, and her other book(s?) wasn't too great imo
