Why are certain villagers amiibo cards so hard to find?

Hi all,

I used to have Chrissy & Francine and I lost the cards! I've bought so many packs since and never had them in a pack! I've gone through 25 packs so far! (not a booster box or anything just i bought in bulk)

I believe it’s the same with fauna & Skye and many others! Having said that I did get Skye in a pack about a month ago!

I just wondered if anyone else had an opinion on this & if they purposely make it harder to find the more popular characters

Nah they're actually just as easy to find, there is just so many villagers that the odds of getting the villager you want seems impossible. If you buy in bulk that's a different story. Collectors and fans will keep the more popular ones.
