I had a problem, I put it in my 3DS and it wouldn't let me use the Wifi on the system so I swapped to the Nintendo DSi and it was saying that the new security thingy on the router wasn't allowed cos I'm using WPA2 so after manually setting up all that it still didn't work and I googled it and I don't think Animal Crossing WW supports it. . . Any ideas?

i've had this problem, unless your router supports it, there's nothing you can do :/

Yeah, any DS game released before the DSi counts as cruddy WEP security. Any game released after (Pokemon White/Black for example) count as WEP and WPA. 3DS games accept all connections.

You can try going to Nintendo, they tell you a link to where you can go to change your firewalls and security. I don't really suggest this though, it might cause trouble.

I have a TON of devices on. If you have less than 8, I would change the settings. If you have way more, I would do that hotspot thing. That sounds cool :0
