Will it be possible to reset when we land til we get our dream color Dodo building?

I'm really hoping for a blue Dodo Airlines building. While the other colors are nice, blue does it for me.

So I'm wondering, with there now being an auto-save feature in the game, do you guys think it's possible to restart as soon as I land (wish I didn't have to, I'd like to play naturally) until I get that color?

Of course it's too soon for most of us who haven't even played yet, but what do you think?

With NL, they gave us the option to choose between 3 maps, so they're aware we like to reroll to get the layouts we want. Hopefully they'll do something similar, but they might just think that terraforming is enough and we have to spend 94201125 hours restarting

I think KhalidPrecious mentioned in his thread that he did reset a few times. My guess is that the game won't save until you officially name the island.

Gosh I hope so otherwise I will be right there beside you restarting over and over for the same color!

I want orange, so I hope that we could reset until we can get the version we choose.

Do you mean resetting just for the airport or fruit while keeping the same map each time, or resetting in general? Like, I know that you won’t be locked into keeping that Island forever, because at the very least you can go into System Settings and delete the data for NH. Ideally the auto save doesn’t happen immediately so that we can exit the game and start over that way though. From what I’ve read by people playing, that seems more likely.

It’s just wishful thinking, but I’d love if we could just reroll for Island features without losing the map we chose. I’ll probably be spending several resets to find the layout that works for me, so it’ll be painful losing all that progress to a bad setup of color/fruit/villagers. Oh well, I’m prepared to suffer. The things we do for this game ;ェ;

So teal was just because of the light Well thank you! I guess I'm going with blue or green

Apparently the game doesn’t save until you’ve chosen your island name so you should be able to just close the app and restart!

It sounds like Nintendo took resetting for perfect islands into account.

Even if the game saved instantly, you could still delete your game data through your Switch so no worries.
