Will you be buying Physical or Digital?

I'm definitely buying a physical copy! I feel like Animal Crossing is way too close to my heart to NOT have it in physical form, that way I can always have access to the cartridge and have a cute casing for it. Its almost like a collector's piece. It's also nice not having to get multiple SD cards for the Switch -w-

i'm going for a physical! want to add more copies to my switch case, plus it saves up space on the switch itself

Depends. If there are nice pre-order exclusives, then I will be getting it in person, but it seems like that has largely fallen out of practice, so downloading/playing at midnight sounds good to me too (as that's what I did with NL).

My problem with pre-order bonuses where I live, is that they kind of show up as a surprise at select sellers. And the surprise factor is that they only tell us like a week in advance, at that point I already ordered it somewhere else loool

I would like to d'load the game and always have it with the switch, but it would cost more than at best buy with their credit card discount.

I think I'll buy a physical copy of all my games, not just AC. Having the actual cartridges makes me feel so nostalgic, so I'm definitely doing that.

If and when I do get the Switch, most likely physical since I always preferred that and I also am usually going for it due to the art boxes and I like the idea of having a collection. I admit that if I'm super impatient, I may likely go with the Digital but it varies but most likely physical for sure.

I didn't actually think about this until I saw your post! Had a little crisis for a minute. Physical helps me resell for a small sum in the far-distant future and have tangible merch I can rub my nerd paws all over (and the personal thrill of walking into the store to pickup my dream game!~) As convenient as it would be to have it all the time on my Switch, I feel like those two or three reasons are enough to stay physical for me. Oh, also it lets someone borrow the game as well (not that I have any in-person friends who have a Switch currently)

Well, looks like i'm sticking to digital.

My Nintendo currency expires November. Boohoo.

Physical all the way I think. Never had any problems with physical media and I remember a lot of people's towns got corrupted etc when they had new leaf as a digicopy

Physical. Always physical. After having my New Leaf file corrupted I don?t mess around with digital anymore.

Physical, unless there's a special version of the Switch which happens to come with the game as a digital download.

I had the exact opposite happen with Smash. The physical version corrupted on me ;(

I think I'd lean more towards physical.

I'm gonna go with digital. I have NSO so I can back up my data safely (if they allow that, HOPEFULLY) and also because game data is stored on the switch itself, not in a cartridge. Sure it takes up a lot of space but I love animal crossing so for me it's worth it, idk.

I do hear people's digital game data on NL corrupted but I feel okay about getting digital because I've been fine with it before plus it's a whole different system

Well okay honestly physical UNLESS they release a special sort of "bundle" Switch edition that has cute little AC decorations all over it with the game pre-downloaded. I don't have a Switch yet, I have been waiting for AC to come out to get one since that's the only game I give a crap about (besides TES, though that's not a Nintendo game obvs) so I will most certainly be getting the most Animal Crossing-y version I can!
