Would you be upset if Isabelle didn't make a return in this game?

I'd be utterly confused- after they decided she's so prominent that she deserves a spot in Smash Ultimate above all other NPCs. (But maybe that's why she couldn't make it to ACNX. ;P ) I'd be pretty disappointed though; she has such a charming personality.

Yes. Though I'm pretty sure the N is representative of Nintendo already, and the X represents the Switch part. I feel like I'm the only one who likes this abbreviation. :c

I like Isabelle a lot, but I wouldn't be upset if she didn't make a comeback. Out of the NPCs she is one of the ones I'm the least invested in.

Isabelle is basically the main icon of Animal Crossing now. She's not going anywhere for a very, very long time.

Yes -- Isabelle is now a staple of the series, just as much are Nook, but also Reese, Cyrus, Kicks, Harriet from Shampoodle, Blathers, all of the holiday animals, etc. I would even like to see those birds from OK Motors in Pocket Camp return in some form, too.

There is no way she wont have some cameo in the game, + there are amiibo figures, I doubt they made 500+ amiibo for animal crossing without thinking about integrating them in some way to the new game, and Isabelle has multiple amiibo, maybe that's how we get to see her? Instead of a rv it would be a plane XD It would be disappointing if she isn't in the main game though.

Isabelle has made her mark as a great character from New Leaf, and she needs to continue to be in future games!

No opinion personally, the only time I really interact with her as is is when I finally get an idea for a pwp placement, past that I don't really care for her.
She's cute don't get me wrong, I'm just not connected to her. I highly doubt she won't be here in some way tho.

canonically, she doesn't have time to go to the islands, so i wouldn't be surprised if she didn't return. but I'd feel as if something was missing though :/

I'm gonna sound stupid (sorry if i do asdfghjkl) but, I don't see the point of putting her in Smash if they're going to take her out in the next game. It's gonna be really sad if they don't implement her in but hopefully her and Digby both will play their own little role in the game somewhere.

From looking at it, probably not on theisland, but there could be some sort of transportation that takes you somewhere beyond it, maybe to a village with Tortimer and Isabelle? I dunno, I would be confused if she is nowhere to be seen but you never know

I think she and all the other NPC's will appear, you just have to upgrade your island for them to do so. They might require special buildings to unlock and build
