Would you play it again, or for the first time, if they re-released it? Or, even better, if they gave it some upgrades and polishing (smoother acre transitions, less bugs, etc). I think it was a great game and I could definitely see myself playing it again, but a major reason I would play it is if it came to the 3DS or to the Switch. Portability is a huge plus, in my opinion, for a game like Animal Crossing.

I would definitely play it again! I loved finding little soccer balls and basketballs at the dump. It was fun kicking them around and playing with the villagers. I also loved the morning aerobics. Those were great additions I would love to see return to future iterations of Animal Crossing!

I agree! I think it was great! Especially those balls!

I would probably play it, but unless there was a way to transfer your old town I would probably keep playing my old version. I doubt they would ever let you transfer your old town, and I don't want to stop playing in mine.

If it was remastered in good detail I would, but I've got AC GC so no reason for me to bother if it isn't re detailed

i definitely would! i've never played it before, but i've heard so many good things about it. whether it was remastered or not, i'd love to try it if it was re-released.

Yeah I doubt that they would let a town be transferred, that would be awesome though i would love it! And I totally understand you on not wanting to stop playing your current town, it would be hard for me too. When Animal Crossing switch is released I will be trying to manage two towns because I really don't want to just drop my current New Leaf town.

Awesome to hear! It would be excellent re-detailed! I would also like to see something to replace the "horns" coming out of the hat.

Oh its a very neat game, in my opinion it revolutionized the GameCube market when it got popular. It was open world and truly casual. If you ever get a chance I would give it a try, its neat to play, even now.

I've actually been hoping for that. I want AC Switch and Gamecube port haha

Oh I literally can't wait until Animal Crossing Switch. I am super excited for any news that comes on it this E3, even if its only a developers screenshot. Give us any info and ill be happy just please recognize the need for it!

Those who have never played the gamecube version would LOVE the morning aerobics and sports fest lol. It's so cute why would they even remove them shame on nintendo

Yes! I just want a snippet of info, I don't care what it is haha

I enjoyed playing it on Gamecube but I haven’t really gone and played it consistently like the other Animal Crossing games. I still play it every week or two and it has a lot of cool features and charm. Its so quircky and different which is probably why I still play it! All the lil’ secrets. I am definitely not buying the NSO expansion pack but im surprised Nintendo Japan hasn’t ported Animal Forest onto the service yet, I think they will at some point.

Maybe? It depends on how it is released. If it is through the Switch Online expansion, then no thanks.

if it came to a different console, like the switch, then absolutely! i’ve never played it, but i’ve always wanted to; it seems like such a great game, and i would love to get to experience it for myself! i don’t own a gamecube though and have no plans to buy one, so i wouldn’t be able to play unless it was ported.

i have it but i don’t play it regularly. but i do think i would go back to it more if it were on a portable console like the switch. if it were re-released on it’s own i’d buy it. but if it’s on the online expansion pack, i wouldn’t buy it mainly because i find it ridiculous to pay a re-occurring $50 fee every year for online play and to keep access to games that i could’ve bought outright in the first place.

If Nintendo was planning on adding GameCube games to Switch Online and Animal Crossing is one of them then yes I would play it.

Probably, though I think a version of e+ would be better. I really want to try it because of everything I've heard about it and I think there's a fan translation but I'd rather play it on Switch than an emulator.

I generally wish the older games would get re-releases or even remakes. Something merging the atmosphere of the old games with some NH features would be awesome!

100% absolutely. I love everything about the charm and vibes of the original gamecube release, especially with its music and villager personalities. In the theoretical scenario that it was rereleased, I do agree that seeing e+ content would be really cool.
