Wtf reasons for why you have been grounded...

I'm sure I was once or twice but I went through a very rebellious stage where I just wouldn't take any notice anyway. Would disappear for days at a time, so telling me I was grounded wouldn't have had much effect at certain times when I was a teenager.
Never had anything taken off me, though, or been banned from using the Internet or my phone....

I do recall an incident at school when I was very young. A boy came in with his mom and me and my friends were standing around the playground which faced the road, as they were coming in some of my friends must have said something about this boy because him and his mom went storming into the front of school....
Next thing I know my parents get a letter threatening to exclude me if I did anything like this again. Got a major telling off for it....despite not being involved....until my dad found out that the other kids had received the same letter, one of whom wasn't even in school that morning but he had been identified as somebody who was supposedly abusing this lad and his mom.
That was quite a smug moment for me....

i've never been grounded before but I think what my mom did was even more messed up. growing up at home, when me or my brother did something bad my mom would just leave the house and not come back for a few days. that was some serious guilt trip/emotional trauma and for sure we did not do that again lol.

I've never been "grounded" but the weirdest thing I ever got in trouble for was forgetting to bring a bowl from the basement to the kitchen. That was one of the angriest I've ever seen my mom in my life...

I don't think I've ever been grounded either. I always used to obey my parents demands for obvious reasons such as for my own good or safety. Never agreed to go against my parents, always wanted to be in their good books!

Idek, I don't think they actually took away my things but yeah they scolded me good, especially my dad quite some time. And tbh if I got to stay in my room I was kinda happy cause at least he'd leave me alone for some time.

I haven't been officially 'grounded' so to speak, but my parents do something similar with the same effect from time to time. They sometimes go into "lockdown mode" (that's probably the best way I can describe it) where they'll take every piece of technology away from me because they feel like it's negatively affecting me. They're still struggling to come to terms with the whole era of technology and think that it's weird that I enjoy sitting in my room playing video games. No, I don't want to join a club. I hate joining clubs. It's the most awful thing I can be put through. I hate it. A lot. Can anyone else relate to this?

I got grounded for like 6 months for having body modifications as a teenager. I got grounded for 2 months for having stretched ears (there were already at 1/2" before my parents noticed them, and I refused to take them out), and another 4 when my parents found out I had a septum piercing.
