Xenoblade Chronicles General Thread

I played Xenoblade 3 twice, but I seem to keep burning out when I reach the city. Going to try and take a break this time rather than force myself through and quit anyways.

Its honestly the best jrpg series nintendo has helped produce along with golden sun imo.
I know this is a Xenoblade thread, but that's a name I haven't heard in ages. Wish they would make a remastered version of Golden Sun 1 and 2. They can sleep on the DS version though. Or was it for the 3ds?
I FINALLY got back into Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and felt this thread needed to be revived so that I can post progress reports here, and also because Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is coming to the Switch on March 20th, and I'm thinking about getting it.
Mor Ardain upon first contact looks kind of like it's filled with machinery and stale, but I'm sure there'll be a lot more to this place as I continue onwards.
I battled normal Lila and Inquisitor Morag once arriving and defeated them both on my first try. Honestly find it funny that Morag was easier to defeat than Lila for me.
I think I'm STARTING to grasp the battle system in this game better, it's definitely very different from XC1.
Also, Mythra appeared for the last of the fanservice in the game, but I am curious what she meant when she was talking to Nia. I have a peculiar feeling that something is going to happen to Nia later down the line...
I really love this series still and want to finish the main story for XC2 so that I can start XC3. It's also one of the major games that inspired me and others to start playing Genshin Impact and gacha games.
Will post again once I've made it a bit further in the story!

Those scenes you're mentioning are coming back to me. Xenoblade has a lot of flaws, but it's still a good game, with a great cast of characters, and really good voice actors. Rex's over-dramatic Pyra!!!! Mythra!!!! Noooo!!! Can get a bit annoying though.
The battle system for all of the games is probably the weakest part of the series for me. I doubt it will ever be reworked, but I just don't care for the auto-attack and how there isn't really any strategy about attacking head on, to the sides, back ect.
Glad you're enjoying it! The characters are the best part of the game!
As a small footnote post, I FINALLY just upgraded my Mercenary Camp to level two in the game, which helps out with a lot of things. I REALLY love that they opted to include this in memory of a certain character, it's such a great feature. I'm about to work on a few side quests and then I'll continue the main story! 
I spent a good chunk of time playing tonight and worked on Merc Missions to try and get to a level 3 Mercenary Camp. Also did some side quests as well. I didn't realize I already have the expansion pass, so I awakened a TON of blades and ended up changing my lineup for Rex and Nia. Was able to get all the main characters from level 33 to level 35, so when I next play I'll probably continue the main story finally. Looking forward to it!
Update! I just completed chapter four of the game and boy was the ending of it a doozy. I first ran into Zeke, who challenged me again. Almost lost to him, but in a pinch Tora and Poppi activated their Mega Eruption Topple attack, which is the first topple attack I've seen all game, lol. Then I investigated the Abandoned Factory and Tora and his family were reunited, which was heartwarming to see. During this time the core crystal for Vess became usable, which was HUGE considering she basically helped me win the fight against Mikhail and Patroka. That was probably the most difficult fight yet in the game for me. After leveling the entire party up to around 40+ though and focusing on taking Mikhail out first, we were able to win. Nia and Godfrey also activated the Ultimate Aurora Topple attack in that battle, which helped out a lot as well.
I saw the preview for chapter five, and.... I have so many questions, lol. Like who was Addam and these other people however many years ago, and how does it relate to the current story? I'm sure I'll find out more as I continue to play though!

This is my current party setup now. I most likely won't deviate from this because Perun is a great attacker and Vess is a great healer, and Mythra is good all-around.
