I just got Soul Calibur II and Viewtiful Joe in the mail today, and both games are completely mindblowing. I can see myself playing SCII for years to come, along with SSBM, and I have to admit that it is one of the best fighting games ever made. As for Viewtiful Joe, I was extremely impressed by it. The videos and screenshots aren't even CLOSE to doing it justice, so if you judge the game by that and judge it poorly, you fail totally and completely.

If you're looking for an old school challenge and dang-good fun, VJ is the way to go. Soul Calibur II is best with friends, and luckily, I was looking for a challenge and I have friends (contrary to popular belief), so I am all set.

Do you guys have SCII and/or VJ?

I've played Soul Calibur with friends.. did you get the GC version?

Kuz.. if you did then <3 Link.

I did get the GCN version, but I prefer using Nightmare or Aristowhatever his name is (the guy with the axe).

When I played it, I was mostly link, and I just mashed the button that uses a stabbing motion with whatever weapon you have, and I always won

:p

Soul Caliber is pretty fun, little insane...

That "Voldo" guy still creeps me out... >_<

Voldo... xDDDDDD

He was... interesting.

I also remember playing as Kilik, the pirate ghost guy, and Ivy.

Voldo is kind of weird, yeah... Cervantes is very awesome, as is Sophitia, although my favorite is still Nightmare. He's like Ganondorf from SSBM but maybe even better.

:p

That's probably because you either played against easy computers or the people you played sucked. Button mashing won't get you far in Soul Calibur.

I sometimes use Rafael's cheap combo of the thing where he just keeps giong towards the enemy and hits them with his sword. I havne't played it in a while so I forgot who else I use :p.

Hmm... You know, after playing this game and getting good at it, I don't know which is better, this, or SSBM. SSBM is, of course, pure Nintendo fun, but Soul Calibur has more strategy...

I personally like both. Kilik is just the pwnsome, but I really do like kicking *** with Pikachu and Captian Falcon.

well, for the computers I I did other stuff, Like link's arm twisting/snapping/throwing move, and then I would finish them off, and for my friend I would button mash XD

Isn't he the one who yells: Cat, Cat, Cayaa! Or something.. maybe I'm thinking of the wrong person or the wrong game. xD
