Guest, can you feel the love in the air? Valentine's Week at The Bell Tree has begun with a new mini-event featuring four activities to enjoy -- new and returning collectibles are up for grabs! Dive in to the love here.
I definitely love the Deadpool movie and I have a soft spot for Spiderman movies. Honestly though, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone made both of the Amazing Spiderman movies. Without them, I wouldn't have enjoyed them as much. They are the cutest! <3
it'll probably be doctor strange, as a comic girl since i was 4 the MCU can't write characters, especially women or villains and i think maybe i've enjoyed cap 2 and guardians, that's about it.
Of the movies listed - Guardians of the Galaxy is far and away my favourite. When I first saw the teaser stuff coming out about the movie, I thought it was some kind of absurd joke. By the time the movie was out I was thinking it might be alright. As the credits rolled my partner was buying the soundtrack (which we have done for precisely two movie - The Lego Movie and GOTG, both starring Chris Pratt!). As we left the movie theatre we were already trying to work out when we'd be seeing it again. Since then we've watched it a dozen+ times, easily. No way did I ever expect to love a movie starring a talking squirrel, a sort-of-talking-tree-thing, and space pirates, just no way. But I do!
If I had to pick a second favourite it would be Ant Man : I hated that premise, I dislike that type of movie (crime caper) in general, and I'm hyper-critical of any plot involving using children as pawns. I thought it might be okay and came out thinking it was *so* much better than I'd hoped for. We randomly saw it again with friends as it was the only thing we could see at that time, and I was genuinely blown away by how well the movie held together - I came out raving about it! It just has so many awesome little details and references and spot-on acting, cinematography, and editing. It has it's own character, it's not just "another Marvel movie". And : it features ants, the one and only creepy-crawly I cannot stand *but somehow I don't even care* which is weird because I don't like ants in other movies lol.
We have all the Marvel movies and I like most of them (often for how silly and comic-book-y the plot and action is lol). My partner just preorders them as soon as iTunes puts them out now, and we rewatch the older ones while waiting. These movies hold up to repeat viewing astonishingly well so far.
