What takes up the most hours of your time while playing ACNH?
I personally like exploring dream towns, and I think that’s taken up a bulk of my time playing the game.
I also like hanging out with my villagers in their houses for an hour or two when I’m bored.

Taking photographs!

I do it every day. There are so many great moments to take pictures of. Pictures of an islander trying to catch a bug or exploring the museum. Pictures of newly decorated vacation homes. Pictures of my islanders running around the plaza for fun. Pictures of them singing together or doing a solo act. Pictures of my plaza getting swept. Pictures of Fuchsia telling Maelle to tread carefully with her words. Pictures of a conversation about a toilet crisis. Pictures of my islanders for album covers. Pictures of yoga buddies. Pictures of solitary thinkers. Pictures of birthday parties. Pictures of strange purple lines. Pictures of gorgeous sunsets. Pictures of pretty foliage. Pictures of nothing. Pictures of Gulliver from unflattering perspectives. Pictures of cats sitting on a bench. Pictures of an islander taking pictures!

There's always something happening. So I take pictures. 😁

I like fishing when I don’t know what else to do, but usually when I get bored and don’t have anything productive to do anymore, I‘ll do something in RL.

I use to love fishing in previous game but since the implementation of tools breaking I find it a horrible faff. So now I spend most of my time diving, because it’s the one activity where you don’t have to worry about your tools breaking.

At the moment, I spend the most amount of time decorating homes at Happy Home Paradise. I'll only decorate one, maybe two, at a time because it takes me quite a while.

Before HHP and the update, I really liked setting up different rooms at Harv's (taking group photos, birthday, Christmas, leaving party) and diving for sea creatures. 😊🐙 I spent most of my time though redecorating different sections of my island because it's never felt complete. Before the update, I also added a second "plaza" area specifically for decorating different events. 😊🏝️

In New Leaf, I used to hang out with online friends just chilling on the main street.

But times have changed and I don't have as much free time nowadays. So I just run around the island talking to my villagers, and possibly doing favors for them. I am still hoping that a spiritual successor to the Tortimer Island is added someday. Heck, just give me the toy hammer and I'll play with it for hours.

I really enjoy fishing in my past time in New Horizons and also gardening which is funny cause I do not like doing those activities in real life. But I find them so relaxing to just collect some fish :)

fishing used to be my favourite, but i don’t really do it anymore now that i’ve completed my encyclopedia and all fishing-related nook mile achievements. now, bug catching is my favourite thing to do. depending on the bug, they take less time to catch than fish, and each one brings me closer to completing the “you’ve got the bug” nook mile achievement. plus, it’s fun. :)

For a few months now I've focused mostly on the villagers. I now have Amiibo for about 80% of the total villagers, and I'm gradually having all of them move in so I can try them in my village. So I've gotten a constantly rotating villager lineup. Every day I'll scan an amiibo and make a customized piece of furniture. I also visit all 10 of the villagers currently on my island each day, and most of them I talk to a lot. I've got a route I walk from house to house that brings me through my whole island, and I'll fish/bug catch/dig up fossils/garden occasionally as I walk between each house.

After I've had a villager long enough to have formed a steady opinion of them (which usually takes at least several days) I put down info about each one in a word document. I rate how much I like them on a scale, take notes on their design and any special characteristics, grade them on how well they fit their personality, and note down any themes I think they'd fit. I've been rolling all that around in my head as I visit them each day, and I round it off by putting in screenshots of the stuff I'm noting. After I've done all that and feel like I know the villager well I have them move out and put in another villager by amiibo to start the process anew. For 8 of the 10 villagers I have at any given time I rate them individually, without taking any other villagers in mind to compare them to. But for 2 of my 10 villagers I'll have a versus contest to spice things up - for versus matches I choose 2 villagers from the same personality that I see as similar somehow and that I think I may like about the same, to see which I actually like better once I've had experience with them both in my town.

Hitting your friends with it and the little -squeak bap- was the best.

I think my favorite pastime is talking to my villagers every day. I have some of my favorites, Molly and Beau and Shino, so seeing them is always enjoyable.
Decorating an area or two is fun as well, most of my time goes to grinding for items these days though, as my island is relatively new still. :)

Decorating my town and terraforming. So much fun, I wanna build higher levels though. XD

Also, when available I like to go to overgrown towns and help people dig up excess flowers and organize them. It's strangely addicting and I can do it for hours. :)

My favourite pastime is decorating as well. I feel that's really what NH is about so I embrace the opportunity for self expression. I like to make weird designs sometimes too. And browsing other islands for inspiration definitely helps. I really wish there wasn't a five orders a day so that I could be done with my island lol.

Fishing is also fun and what I do when I super don't feel like being artsy. I wish I could say I talked to my villagers but they are so one note to me that I ignore them ops.

I like decorating/ tidying my island, specifically outside, because it goes hand in hand with my other (and probably number one) favorite activity, which is talking to, watching, and giving gifts to my villagers.

I’m not much into interior decorating so far, which has made HPP a bit of a challenge
