• Guest, can you feel the love in the air? Valentine's Week at The Bell Tree has begun with a new mini-event featuring four activities to enjoy -- new and returning collectibles are up for grabs! Dive in to the love here.

Your favorite pastime activity in ACNH?

At this point my favorite thing is just walking around the houses I've made admiring them, and just vibe.
Occasionally I'll think of a way to improve them, I'll move some stuff around and take it all in again. lol

Another activity that I used to do was to gift villager wrap gifts and then have a chance at getting their photo. I used to enjoy that last year but when I got the last photo it was the end of doing that, but then I felt a sort of accomplishment of getting all villager photos (even the ones that I don't like very much)

lately I enjoy doing short little daily rounds with my villagers, collecting my food recipe from HHP, the recipe on my shore and doing the daily island with Kapp'n. I'll try and do little tidying up things like picking weeds or sticks as well. I usually get bored after doing all the little things very fast unfortunately so I won't play much after..

Visiting people's islands for their crafting villager and shopping. It was like going on a little holiday to get a souvenir. Also letting people into my island to do the same.

I just love decorating around the island. I like trying new themes and stuff like that. I also love doing HHP. I have a lot of fun with that.

I like to go fishing and bug catching to pass the time in NH. It's something I liked to do in animal crossing games ever since city folk. I also go to the Happy Home Paradise to decorate some houses, visit the facilities, or just vibe with all the islanders when Dj KK comes for his concert. Sometimes I get sudden inspiration (usually after visiting a dream island) and decide to redo a part of my island and I spend my time doing that. One time I even redid my entire island just to have something to do and I spent a couple weeks doing that since I can't time travel and you can only move one house a day. Rarely I make custom design outfits to try and cosplay as my favorite characters.

Honestly, nowadays it's probably heading to Happy Home Paradise and designing homes. Interior design has always been one of the main, if not the primary, draws to the series for me, so getting to stretch my creative muscles is fun.

Tangentially related, I wish all of the rooms in our player homes could be 10x10 like the animals get in Happy Home Paradise. Kind of jealous, to be honest. It's a bummer for me especially since I don't really care about terraforming much and I've pretty much decorated my island to the extent that I'm going to, so that aspect that appeals to a lot of others doesn't really do much for me. So, the player houses feel a bit cramped and I've had multiple hypothetically cool room ideas sabotaged by the awkward sizes, and I feel a bit left behind by their attempt to appeal to the masses.

Right at the moment it is probably gardening: watering + breeding my flowers whilst trying to keep them down to reasonable numbers. Makes for rewarding visual results on my island and can be quite relaxing as an activity. I also tend to the veggies in the veggie patch so that I can gift my villagers dishes and put some on display at various food related areas either in my house or on the island itself. I have a relatively small veggie patch though. I’ve been trying to collect garden furniture themed items and other things like windmills and turbines to make a self-sustained farm sort of look in one part of the island
