My family and I were having this conversation, because I drink all beverages from mugs. Preferably massive 0.5L mugs. My mum is a small glass kinda person. I personally think there is no better vessel for a liquid than a mug - change my mind!

Depends what I drink.. if it has bubbles in them than it's for sure a glass / bottle.. anything else I pretty much prefer in a cup that is cute :D

mostly from a glass or bottle if I'm at work, we have loads of mugs at home which I love but mostly only use them for hot drinks

There is an entire discourse in the champagne and wine community as to what types of glasses best bring out the flavor and provide the most comfortable drinking experience for different beverages. It's such a fascinating topic, because even though the difference is--at best--marginal, I can't help but also find it very compelling. It inspired me to seek out different sets of cupware for tea and coffee. Fun fact: A mug that is short and stout is meant for tea; a mug that is tall and lean is meant for coffee.

As others have stated, it depends on the beverage. For soft drinks, I'd prefer it to be freshly mixed from a restaurant's fountain, but since that's not a viable option for the household market, then I usually prefer them to be canned. The aluminum adds to the flavor, I suppose. Warm drinks need to be in a mug. And anything else I generally prefer to be in a glass. I'm not going to argue with the container of the beverage on most occasions, though.

Mugs are definitely a great liquid vessel!

I am a big coffee drinker so cute coffee mugs are a must. And for cold beverages, at home I drink most of my cold drinks out of a big glass beer mug because the handle is just nice.

I like hot drinks from mugs and cold drinks from glass bottles! I have a few favorite mugs I love to bring out during colder days to drink hot chocolate or tea or coffee out of, but if I'm buying a drink from the store or something I'm always swayed by the ones in glass bottles.

i’ve only been drinking water and energy drinks lately, so the only containers i’ve been drinking out of are cans and bottles (both of which i recycle!). but i gotta be honest… sippy cup-like bottles are my favourite. not actual sippy cups LOL, but bottles that have a “spout” that i can drink out of. i’m not sure how else to describe them lmao, but sunny d comes in a bottle that is like what i’m referring to! it is of course also my favourite way to drink sunny d
