your favourite genres in music

Definitely alternative and punk rock. I will say that I like math and indie rock quite a bit too. I also wish vaporwave was still popular... :(

Reggeaton. It's killing me insides. Also considering to reserve a ticket to Spain 'case Maluma is gonna hold a live there on July aaaaaaaah!

In regard to metal:
Thrash
Melodic Death
Death
Prog
Symphonic
Power
Extreme
Neo Classical
Black
Groove
Metalcore

I also like when electronic music like trance is prominent, but they usually just get labelled as melodic death like Blood Stain Child.

Otherwise:
Synthwave
Pop (mostly 80's stuff)
Industrial
Classic rock
Pop punk
Electro
Classic/Orchestral

Also a lot of movie, anime and video game soundtracks which usually have a load of different things in them.

There'll be a bunch of genres I like that haven't sprang to mind.

i love the softer, more acoustic kind of music with folk mixed in, good example would be of monsters and men or the lumineers, i even listen to some country songs lol. i guess folk? indie? these are pretty general but you get the idea!
aside from that i listen to a lot of kpop so i guess the general pop music genre as well

its kinda weird because when i was a teenager i used to listen to punk and pop punk ONLY and despised anything that was on the radio or had a soft, vulnerable sound. i was all about noise and political messages and angry teen angst lmao ive done a complete 180

I like different types of Rock and some Metal, still, my all time favorites are Alternative and Indie Rock.

inhale

Jazz
Vaporwave
Chill
Hip-Hop
Lo-Fi
K-Pop
City Pop
Trap
Rap
House

exhale
do these even count as music genres? not sure.

Lately I've only been listening to Progressive Rock. But I have nothing against other genres of music and I enjoy a little bit of everything

Classic Rock
Hard Rock
Rock
Some metal, depends on the song
Alternative
Early 2000s pop

I probably like more genres but those are the only ones I'm familiar with rn.

EDM makes me go crazy. I actively go to raves and music festivals every other weekend/whenever a good artist's in town :)

However, recently I've been listening to more trance and EDM. Before that was video game OSTs like GRIS, Journey, and Nier Automata....I guess that it depends on my mood.

Trance is SO good!

I suppose the lot of what I listen to would fall into Alternative/Indie Pop/Rock.

I love a lot of music genres but my main ones would be Alternative,Experimental , PC Music Avant Garde, Trip Hop and of course a bit of Pop from time to time.

i'm a big fan of Alternative rock, so like Twenty One Pilots, Fall out Boy, i'm obsessed with Panic! at the disco
I like some pop songs, then i also like 'contempory folk' so like slower songs, sort of like ed sheeran

I would have to say my top five favorite music genres are the following (not in any particular order):

Jazz
70s Music
80s Music (both my 70s and 80s favorites are usually soft rock so that could be another genre to describe it)
Pop
Lo-Fi

In all honesty though, I tend to like really any music genre as I can usually find songs I love from them.

Baroque
Classical
Romantic
80s rock
80s synthpop
80s new wave
