your favourite genres in music

I don't pay attention to genres in music much, I just listen to whatever sounds good to me, but these are probably my most commonly listened to genres currently:
60s Rock
70s Rock
80s New Wave
Indie rock
Alt rock
Hip-hop/Rap
Folk
Baroque pop

Idk if it's considered a genre, but I listen to a LOT of video game music remixes (mostly Touhou and Witcher rn). Recently I've also slowly been getting into K-Pop!

kpop, indie pop, pop in general. i also like kr&b+khh, and regular r&b. sometimes i’ll listen to lofi too! it’s really calming and it can put me to sleep sometimes

I mostly listen to pop/pop punk, I like things with a catchy beat that are going to be fun to dance to

I mostly listen to indie pop/rock, 60-80s pop/rock, folk, and soul. If I'm tired I might listen to some jazz.

I feel like I have a lot I like, but my main ones would be:

jpop/jrock/vocaloid, kpop, and whatever I consider to be "groovy" or sort of "jazzy"

My big three are electronic, jazz, and progressive rock.

Cool to see some trip hop fans -- that's one of my favorite subgenres of electronic.

alt rock, indie punk, hardcore, noise rock, noise pop, lo-fi

60s pop, psychedelic, rock etc. hippie music basically. I also like Johnny's J-pop mainly stuff from the 60s/70s-early 00s.

I have a lot of different kinds of music that I like!
  • Jazz (Smooth, Swing, Acid, Lounge Jazz, more classic forms of jazz, Cafe style Jazz, etc.)
  • Electro-Swing! Very creative genre and I love music from the 1920s-30s so it's really cool to see musicians remix and reinterpret music from that era.
  • Folk (Both modern and contemporary)
  • Indie Rock
  • 80s music
  • Retro-Wave/Synth-Wave and modern "80s" style music like Blood Orange
  • Celtic Punk
  • Sea Shanties!
  • Trip-hop and other types of Chill hop
  • Shoegaze/Surfy Rock

My personnal favorite is Heavy metal
Second place in my heart is Progressive metal

The best of the best for me is 70's and 80's pop music! I just love how real it sounds, and something I listen to a bit but I dont tell many people bc they would think I am weird, is I love 60's!

Though any song that hits right I will listen to until I cant stand it anymore.

I don't have a specific favorite genre but I usually enjoy listening to jazz, classical, country, and rock.

Indie folk/soul/pop and rap according to Spotify, and I really like chamber pop and indie rock too.

I really love k-pop, jazz/swing, modern pop, emo pop/pop punk, rock... I love a lot of stuff from the 50's-70's, too ^^

Mainly listen to j-pop type of music (Johnny's Entertainment groups like Arashi, Kis-my-ft2, king & prince, Six Tones, etc or groups from mobile games like ensemble stars or idolish7 or Argonavis). But when I'm not in that mood, i'd listen to instrumental piano music to help relax the mind.

Punk, Psychobilly, Horror punk, Riot Grrl, Post Punk, Grunge, Metal (doom, melodeath, speed, prog, folk, stoner, sludge), Hillbilly Punk/Bloodgrass, Dark Roots, Alternative, Rockabilly, 90s/00s rock, Synthwave, 40s jazz and bebop

^Black metal, really? xD You never came off as the type to me. Lol.
