Pokémon Your favourite Pokemon?

I grew up playing pokemon yellow, silver, and gold on my Gameboy Color (WHICH I FOUND last month!). I didn't get back into it until this past year when I bought shield. I don't know many of the new pokemon, so my list is going to be mostly OG.

Ninetales - I remember in 5th grade, one of my friends traded me his Ninetales card and told me never to trade it because it was his favorite, and I never did. I kept it, and all of my others all the way through college and accidently left them in the apartment I lived in and my old neighbor found them and sold them all. Not gonna lie, they'd be worth about 20k now. I had soooo many and a TON of 1st gens.

Eevee (and all eeveelutions)- I love how you can still see traces of Eevee through each evolution.

Gyrados- just SO powerful.

Corviknight- i love how big and majestic he is.

Jigglypuff...because I just have to lol.

Boltund- I've grown very fond of Boltund and keep him in my party.
Fennekin- so cute!
And the new pokemon that I can't remember it's name that is in my party. I named it Puffball lol. It looks like a dandelion puff. It's a grass-type.

I have two Pokemon who are tied for my favorite. The first is Mudkip, who was the very first Pokemon I used in Ruby (my first main series game) and who I continue to adore to this day. The second is Archeops, who I ended up using in my first playthrough of Black three years ago and ended up falling in love with from the moment I started using it. As for any other favorites, I don't really know who'd crack the top 5 tbh, though I always end up being rather fond of Pokemon I use on my team in the games, as well as some legendaries from the first few games I played (like Kyogre, Groudon and Lugia).

mine is 100% Joltik, mainly because it's appearance is similar to that of a jumping spider, which is my favorite animal <3 and like Jumping spiders it's super adorable

1. Celebi - the reason I’m a Pokémon fan at all is because I watched the fourth movie when I was younger on a whim, and Celebi has literally always been my favourite! My number one dream used to be to have one in game so I was so happy when they eventually did a Celebi event.

2. Piplup - my early days watching the anime were centred around the diamond and pearl series and I was absolutely obsessed with Dawn and Piplup. It’s just so cute??? Always been one of my favourites.

3. Chikorita - my first ever Pokémon, the first game I played was Heartgold so my Chikorita (now Meganium) is really special to me. I remember looking at the starters for hg/ss before I got the game and I instantly knew I wanted Chikorita.

4. Sylveon - the absolute euphoria I experienced when I found out the fairy type (my favourite type) was going to be added and that Eevee was getting a new evolution for it, I immediately was like I HAVE to have this.

5. Leafeon - I’m a big fan of Eeveelutions in general tbh (Glaceon is beaten into 6th) and I used to share that love with one of my good friends, at the time grass was my favourite type so naturally Leafeon was my favourite eeveelution and I strived to add it to my team.

When it comes to my teams I usually try and start afresh with each game but the temptation to add one of the above is always high and sometimes I give in. Also I say my favourite type is fairy but there’s only one on the list, believe me when I say a lot are honorable mentions

- Ampharos (shout out to it's mega evolution with it's luscious flowing locks)

My top fav has always been unown since I was little. I loved the movie and their singing, and had a lot of fun collecting all the letters in gold as a kid. I went all out in firered and caught one of every letter AND hp type! I love my little ghostie B Basil.

The rest of my top 4 are mimikyu, galar ponyta, sylveon, and haunter. Fairy type stole my heart but I'm still a ghostie guy at my core.

My all-time favorite pokemon is Zeraora. I love their design and they're my partner pokemon in usum. I wouldn't give Zeraora up for anything.
Some of my other favorites (all mythicals, lol) are Victini and Jirachi. I have both of them on my usum team and they've been amazing helps. Also, both of them are absolutely adorable!!!
I'm referencing my usum team because I like it a lot better than swsh, lol..

When I was younger, I really was a big fan of Litwick, Lament, and Chandelure. They were really unique and I thought they were cool. But looking back, I think my favorite Pokémon would have to be just Pikachu since I had a lot of memories with getting this Pokémon and even some of the merchandise that I got.

I'm a sucker for all ghost Pokemon. Gengar and Pumpkabo being my two absolute favorites. :3

Chandelure is and will probably always be my favorite. It's a perfect example of an object Pokémon done right. Also it's actually really good in battle which makes me like it even more.

I also really like Skiploom since its design is really cute. If I could choose any Pokémon to keep as a pet, I'd probably choose that and give it an everstone.

Arcanine has been my favorite Pokemon since I first played my first Pokemon game, Fire Red, way back in 2010. I used to think he was a tiger, took me a bit to realize he was a big fluffy dog lol. 11 years later and he's still my favorite Pokemon

I have a ton of other favorite Pokemon, such as Absol, Noivern (also Crobat, Lunala, and Swoobat, I love bat Pokemon), Jolteon (or really any eeveelution + Eevee), Falinks, Scolipede, Samurott, Delphox (or again any fox Pokemon), and others I can't remember off the top of my head (I'm slightly sleep deprived lol). also who could forget the legend himself Giratina?

I’m sure anyone can guess my favorite Pokémon, just by reading my username. I love the Totodile evolution line as a whole. My favorite in the line however is Croconaw.

I liked Vulpix and Ninetales but they were a little girly for my tastes. Then they rolled out Zorua/Zoroark and I thought 'pretty cool, we're getting there'. Then they rolled out Fennekin/Braixin/Delphox and I thought 'this is a step backwards.'

Then I met Nickit and Thievul...and I believe that's where this story ends lol I can't imagine liking the design of another Pokemon better than I do Thievul.

Honorable mentions to Kangaskhan and Dodrio...who helped me win a ton of battles over the years (especially Mega Kangaskhan)...as of right now I'd say RIP to them both now that Return is gone.

....oh and Bellsprout. Really like their design. Too bad this family is always sidelined for the more popular Oddish family.

Aside from Cosmog, my favorite Pokémon are decided on a mix of nostalgia, in game usage, and design.

- Oshawott (I love otters and I have a memory of someone sketching one for me as a kid)

- Victini (adorable and I couldn’t get one for the longest time)

- Glaceon (my first ever Pokémon card)

- Braviary (just a beautiful design and shiny)

- Dhelmise (cool ability, gorgeous shiny, and useful in game)
