Your parents/friends/partners

My dad found it a bit odd when I asked for NL for my birthday (It was a few days after release, how could I not?), but I've only spent a week at home since then so my parents don't really know how much I play.
However, my girlfriend plays just as much as I do so we play together a lot. Not sure how we'll manage to make time for Pokemon X/Y when they come out...

My parents know I play, but they don't mind. My friends know I play and I have 8 friends who actually play as well, including one that lives 500 miles away from me. Besides them though, I Don't really have anyone to play with.

My parents know I play and so do my colleagues. My bf used to laugh at me when I got WW out and started to play it but then got hooked. He now has a 3DS XL and NL...
My mum used to laugh at me for playing and when I mentioned something she was asking if I meant the game or not. However, she has a 3ds XL as well and I got her a free copy through the EU recommend a friend programme and now she's addicted. I get texts and emails from her asking about certain things and what to buy from the fox man who's in my town and how to get the present out of the letter it's stuck in! Who's laughing now, eh?!

I don't talk to my family so I don't know if they play but I highly doubt it. A close friend of mine is the one who mentioned getting the game and that's the main reason I tried it (after looking it up and finding nothing but praise on it). In a scheme to score a second game I ended up getting my husband to try it out but he ended up getting sucked in too which I guess is cool >>

To everyone else, AC is just another game that I play. My parents and my brother will get curious when they see me playing, but it's not really their thing. I think they just want to see what I'm doing. But my boyfriend will try to keep up with what's going on :)

My mum doesn't get animal crossing, the only game she ever played was rayman on my ps2 and she sucked at it ha. I started playing my gamecube copy of AC before New leaf was released and got my boyfriend hooked. So I gave him my 3ds and bought him NL (I was buying the bundle). He pretty much only plays shooters like Halo and GOW so its funny that he loves AC ^-^. I also recently got one of my old college friends into the game. My boyfriend is 21 and my friend is 20, just goes to show its not just a game for kids.

I got my BF into Animal Crossing 2 weeks ago. He was always saying how much I played the game and that I was addicted to it and now he plays it more than I do. :)

My mom doesn't care for any game I play but she never sees me playing anything anyway because I haven't lived with her for a few years now. She used to hate any violent games I played when I still lived with her.

I tell my friends about AC but that's it. We don't have full conversations on the subject because they don't really care for it.

Typically whenever I find a game I like I introduce my younger brother to it, as far as gaming preference goes, we've got a fair bit in common.

My older brothers might be able to get into it with the proper motivation, but they're not the easiest people to introduce new games to.

I introduced my sister to it and she plays it like MAD and my brother likes the idea but wants his own game card. I like to show my dad and my sister tells my dad everything she does on AC, but my dad doesn't really give a crap.

My family knew in the past of me playing the GameCube version a lot. Wild World was bought as a Christmas gift only after suggestions were wanted. And City Folk was purchased on my own along with the system during a family shopping trip. So as far as I know my family doesn't know why I'm so into the series.
Only the friends who played the series with me are the ones who understand my obsession.
My other friend who plays video games doesn't really see that obsession with New Leaf and could probably care less... More action-type of games preferred I guess. Either way, I get teased a lot for playing New Leaf.

It seems NL is a pretty addicting game, from the amount of people who've been convinced by you all. I keep hassling my brother but he's more into combat, quests, that sort of thing. Although I caught him watching over my shoulder once ;)

My best friend got me into the Animal crossing series, so we talk about it often, as well as tag and visit often. She enjoys going to Club Tortimer al lthe time, while I tend to earn money faster and progress faster than her.

My family used to poke fun at me back when I played City Folk since I was playing it out in the living room, but since I have it on the 3DS and they do not see it as often, they don't really talk of it anymore. I don't talk about it much with them either. They may make a comment if they here my friend and I chatting about it but that's about it.

Funny enough, though, my dad and mom have their own Nintendo DSes, and my father has borrowed a few games from me before. They do not play games often, but often enough. My sister likes party games on the wii, but i'm the hardcore gamer of the family.

My Co-workers poke fun at me sometimes when I mention animal crossing, but otherwise find it mildly interesting. They'd never play because there is no clear goals like Call of Duty or Halo or whatever, though.

My boyfriend used to laugh at me for playing on it all the time and laughed when I saved up for ages and got the ACNL special edition 3DSXL but then he made his own character on it to see what all the fuss was about and now he plays on it every day with me and we send each other gifts and help each other out on it haha

My mum and brother both have it and play regularly, as does my aunt. My dad, however, doesn't see the point and thinks it's boring...

I have a very indulgent partner. He couldn't care less about any game that I'm obsessed with, but he's the one that gave me Pok?mon Platinum for my birthday some years ago, and he gave me the 3DS for Christmas the year before last. Despite leaving my games all over the place, I very much doubt he'd even be able to tell you what game I've been constantly playing the last two-and-a-half months. On the plus side for him, he gets to be in total charge of the TV remote and I'll sit through anything he wants to watch while I beetle harvest to pay the mortgage.

My parents don't even know the difference between this game or any other and my brothers don't have a 3DS, so they don't play, but they have played the other AC games. And in the college other people don't mind the games you play or if you play videogames :).

My parents bought me ACNL for my birthday so as far as they're concerned it's just another game that I play on my DS. My brothers don't really care about it, they're into their own video games, and my friends poke fun at me for playing a "silly game". I'm fine with these responses, they don't really bother me. I just wish I knew someone in person who had a copy of the game so we could visit each other's towns and whatnot, but none of my friends have a 3DS or even want one.
