Two days late, but here's a response.
Although I agree that it's unreasonable and unwise to break your glasses to get out of school, you don't have to go to school if you're sick. I hope your father (or whoever else) realizes that he can't expect people to go to school when they're feeling sick. You should ask him why he still wants you to go even if you're really sick. You're not a hypochondriac. My parents never let me to go school when I'm sick.
I also wonder if you're feeling any better now.
I just read the thread you created, and I'm actually going to support you this time. If your parents want you to stay in school, even if your sick, then they have some serious problems. I'm sorry that you couldn't skip because of a sickness.
