10 Reasons You Love & Hate Your Country.

It may suck sometimes, but we have it better then some.

I mean really I could be living in a third world country and not have Any rights just because I'm a woman, hell I'd be killed on the spot for being a lesbian.

Love: The relative amount of freedoms that we have in comparison to some parts of the world.

Hate: The social conservatives in my country. Fiscal conservatism is fine, we can have debates about that. But the social conservatism needs to die off. Thankfully it is, albeit slowly.

Reasons why I love my country.
1. Beautiful places.
2. Freedoms.
3. Hey, we're not THAT polluted.
4. So many races and cultures.
5. So many landmarks and fun things to do.

Reasons I don't like my country.
1. Our government is bad right now.
2. Education system could be replaced with something better.
3. We're dangerous according to some.
4. We don't have the smartest people here.

I live in the U.S.A.

Actually your country is amongst the top 5 most polluted countries in the world, next to Asian countries such as Japan or GINA...I mean China...

Ah. I should've researched more. Thank you for telling me.

EDIT: You got me interested and I checked out a few articles and websites. It doesn't look like we're in the top 5. May you provide a source?

I live in Canada and I don't really hate anything about my country. It's huge and beautiful and so diverse, health care is free, education isn't as expensive as some other countries, it's a lot safer than most other countries, and in terms of rights and freedoms it's pretty good. The only thing I don't favour is the freezing cold winters :p but that's hardly something to complain about. I feel very lucky to live here.

And so you should, I would love to live in Canada. I love the cold weather, does it snow often over there?

Reasons to Hate:
1. My country is run by money, not by people
2. It's extremely polluted
3. Our next leader is going to suck, no matter who it is
4. Our education is lacking, compared to other 1st world countries
5. We have an extremely high obesity rate
6. LOOOTS of ignorant people

Reasons to Love:
1. Freedom is kind of a thing
2. The food's pretty good
3. We have internet
...That's basically it.

Misinformed I am indeed.

But it is still really bad pollution wise.

Asian countries are expected to be polluted for several reasons.

I wouldn't say it's bad.

Cities, sure. But basically anywhere not in the NYC-DC urban sprawl on the east coast and not in SE Californian cities is good for air quality

LA, NY e.t.c are pretty bad, yes. I'm surprised California is healthy compared to other states, cause its heavily populated and is it heavily an industrial state or not?

It's not so much industrial in CA as much as it is just the sheer amount of cars and people
