2.0 Update bug: villager stuck in my house in the Void--help!

I finally had another villager in the Roost today; Marina! I spoke to her once and had a coffee before going about my business and running home. Marina was suddenly in my house when I got there. I spoke to her and she gave one of the Roost dialogue options about coffee. Same thing when I spoke to her again. I ran to the kitchen to see if she would follow and there was Marina, floating up close to the camera in the Void.
I shut my game down without saving and returned, but Marina is still squatting in my house. I shut it down again, and found a news article that says this is a mostly self-correcting bug, but it hasn't corrected yet after reloading the game. Anyone know how to jolt her out of my house? I've heard about the game-breaking update bug and I don't want to corrupt my save file.

I'm not sure if this works, but I think maybe summoning Marina somewhere else could help.

Have you tried the radio exercise and have Marina participate? Or perhaps try to ask Tom Nook and move Marina's house to summon her into the Resident Services?

I think I saw this on Twitter from a Japanese player where they had Muffy hanging out of their house interior collision. I don't think I have the post but it was definitely similar to where Marina was floating.

Some ideas I have for maybe trying to undo this bug, if it'll even help: I'm curious if maybe using an amiibo card (if you have one) at the Roost will help basically end it?

Another thought, have you time traveled at all and gone back to the Roost to see if someone else is there? If so, have you spoken to them?

Ok! I was going to try summoning Marina to Resident Services but after leaving my game off all day (about 8 hours) I turned it back on and saw that she was at home in her own house. Went back to my house and kitchen and she was nowhere in sight! Apparently it does self-correct; it just takes a while. Thank you guys for the help!!

Omg good thing it was Marina. Imagine if that was Bella I would call for an exorcism

Patch 2.0.1 has been released, hopefully it will fix this problem.

This happened to me.

Keep trying to leave, repeatedly.

The villager will want to play a game before you leave. Play and then you can leave.
