I actually didn't hate last year's Bunny Day. Yes the water eggs were annoying when trying to fish and same with the air eggs in the balloons, but once Nintendo patched it, I thought everything ran smoothly.
Anyways, I'm excited for this year's Bunny Day as long as they update it in some way so it's not a carbon copy of last year's. Now that they have the ability to change things up via updates, I would hope that jump on that opportunity with either changing the mechanics of the holiday and/or adding some new items to it.

Is it really coming up that soon?!?!?! No!! No Zipper hate, but that event was just the worst. I am so not looking forward to it this year. I hope they've seen the feedback and made some alterations to at least the amount of eggs available. As a cherry blossom season lover I felt ripped off last year. I'm not sure how it will work this time with such an early easter, maybe they won't intersect. I can only dream!

I am staying FAR away from that event because it left a bad taste in my mouth. For anyone who doesn't understand Bunny Day it used to be an event that lasted for like 10 days from April 1st to April 10th. All the time you were going around seeing so many Bunny Day eggs around your island. Imagine trying to get materials to craft furniture when all you keep getting is these ridiculous eggs. They are EVERYWEHRE! I had to take a break from the game because my insanity was lost just having to get all these eggs.
Then when the actual event happens Zipper T Bunny shows up and then he says "Lets look for eggs" when you already did that for the past 9 days. What do you get in return just a Zipper Toy DIY and then to add insult to injury he gives you a Bunny Day Wand. I remember just screaming at this when I wasted all this time with the Bunny Day eggs. I sold all of them and turned the game off. Didn't play it for 2 weeks after that. It just wasn't that good. I know this may seem like I'm overeacting but if anyone who has played this game since day one will understand how a pain it was.

I loved Bunny Day, so I'm excited. It is my favorite event! I hope we can get some new recipes though so I have a reason to collect eggs again on my main island. It makes me sad when people are mean to Zipper, so I may stay away from animal crossing sites during the event.
If they stick to how holidays schedules coincide with the real-life holiday they are based on then Bunny Day would be on April 4th like Easter, meaning the lead up could start any time before then. Cherry Blossom season is from April 1st-10th, so there would be some overlap, but only four days as opposed to the entire ten days like last year.

Ah that's great news!! Hopefully they'll be better timed and we'll get to enjoy both events this year!

This will be my first bunny day, I believe! I don’t remember the exact time I joined, I usually say it’s around late April. I know I joined just a little after it though. I’ve heard that some people find it annoying that literally everything is an egg. “I don’t want an egg! I want a fish!” haha....

I would focus on gathering all the materials and fish before you start the event because trust me when I say this when that event happens all those materials you used to rely on will be replaced with Bunny Day eggs.This will be my first bunny day, I believe! I remember speculating that the bunny day event lasted so long last year because they didn’t anticipate a lot of people to be WFH or free due to Covid, I wonder if they’ll rearrange it this year and listen to the critiques? Maybe it’ll be a slightly different event. I really hope so because I hated collecting DIYs because 90% of the balloons I shot were eggs

If the event is the same, I don't think people will have that many issues this time around as they nerfed the event last year and we have all caught every fish now anyways if you've played since the start.
Only issue is I got all the stuff last time.
If they add new furniture I'll be excited but otherwise meh

It got so bad even Nintendo had to reduce the frequency of how many spawned on the island. Those Balloon Present containing Bunny Day DIYS were all over the place. It was conflicting with other events that was going on like the Cherry Blossom event and of course the Fishing Journey when tried catching fish but you kept getting Water Bunny Day Eggs. I totally forgot about the fishing tourney! Honestly I have no idea what to expect this time around. I guess we’ll have to wait and see!moonlights

This will be my first time experiencing Bunny Day in NH and I'm looking forward to it! The furniture/DIYs looked great. I know people say it was bad but I'm gonna wait to do the event until I pass judgement.

Bunny Day isn't a bad event in and of itself. People who started playing on launch day last year just felt overwhelmed because there was so much going on at the same time and we weren't even two weeks into the game !! To be fair to Nintendo, they reduced the spawn rates of eggs when it became apparent that they were a bit of a problem. And the sky eggs didn't interfere with regular balloons spawning, so that was never a problem.
Now I have all the cherry blossom recipes, all the young spring bamboo ones, all the fishing tourney items and prizes [and let's not forget, we were just trying to get regular DIYs at the beginning too !!]. I'm going to be able to just relax and enjoy the event this year.

I'm fine with bunny day coming around again just because I'm not trying to farm for cherry blossom recipes anymore and I've finish catching all the fish. The wood might be annoying but I have a decent size stock pile right now so I think I'll be fine.

like others, I'm hoping it'll be slightly less annoying this year, partially because we'll have nerfed spawn rates from the beginning (in comparison to how it originated last year) and also partially because for many of us there isn't the same level of needing to grind other things, e.g. fish for bells and wood for crafting - we have more developed islands now and so can survive however long it is without experiencing quite the same level of egg collection.
eggs aside, I do actually enjoy the event so I am quite looking forward to taking part and probably being able to have fun with it a bit more than I did last year!

I didn't start until June so I missed this event last year. I did see a YouTube playthrough though and was somewhat amused by the player's annoyance of all the balloons and eggs spawning, until it was patched. I probably would've been just as annoyed. (This playthrough is what convinced me to get the game though so it turned out good for me.) 
I didn't really enjoy bunny day last year but the event happening so soon after the games release didn't really help as I wanted to focus on other things in the game rather then been ambushed by an egg every few minutes, also I wasn't a fan of the DIYs from the event as I didn't really have any use for them. Now that I've caught all the fish I'm hoping that I won't be as annoyed fishing up water eggs as I was last year, though I think the spawn rates will be a lot lower following the backlash they got last year. Also hoping for some new DIYs that I might actually use (won't hold my breath on that one) but I'll just focus on giving the event another chance now I'm much further along in the game and try and make the most of it.
