im the exact same, I find it very hard to start or keep a conversation in rl, I'm very quiet in real life & i don't even wanna talk to people unless I really have to but maybe cause I didn't find people with the same interests as me lol
I prefer online cause I can be myself
i used to find it more difficult to be social online, honestly talking online made me realise how much of a personality i didn't really have, i wasn't funny, couldn't made quick observations, wasn't really a good conversationalist.. which is weird because irl i didn't have too much of a problem, i just couldn't apply it online for whatever reason, i still struggle tbh but i'm getting better at it
I'm very social in real life but I'm really self-aware about opening up online. I never post or say anything that could identify me IRL, and I use psuedonyms for anything that's public. One day, when I'm a celebrity or something I'll be more okay with it, but right now it's just kind of fun to be online just so I can talk to people who share my interests without worrying about anybody taking anything personally.
mememememememememMEMEMEMEMEMEMEEEEEEE. I literally don't talk to anyone IRL. I'm actually really unfriendly in real life and would much rather stay home and play video games. But I'm super social on the internet!
I used to be a lot like that but I think it's changed over the last couple of years. Being social online definitely helped me become more social irl though!
Even though I can communicate well in real life with other people, I’ve found that I can’t say what’s truly on my mind or what’s hurting me. I would tell that to my online gaming friends. My only other outlets for that are my family and boyfriend.
i'm not really social with strangers, though i can be if i really have to. but once i make friends with people or feel comfortable around people, i'm really loud and social and outgoing. i would say i'm about equal amounts social on both online and in life, though i'm not particularly inclined to share emotions or secrets with either groups of friends, lmao.
