Unfortunately a lot of my bad traits I got from my dad but I'm aware that those traits are bad and I try to work on them. In most ways, I feel like all the children in my family became better, kinder people than their parents.

i haven't lived with my dad since i was 6, but i'm much more him than mom. we look alike, we have the same hobbies, interests, opinions and even nervous tics. he is kind of a jerk (not to me) though so i'll try not to turn out into his carbon copy.

I'd say I am more like my dad, although we are polar opposites in some aspects too.

Here are the things that we have in common:
* We both like to play video games (although he is a hardcore gamer, whereas I am a casual one).
* Him and I both can also be very introverted. We both like to just spend a lot of time, doing our own thing in solitude. The same goes for my brother.

My mom is the complete opposite in these regards. Video games (even casual ones) are very frustrating for her, and she is very extroverted and can come off as high-maintenance.

I usually hear that your either like your mother or like your father. (Which would make sense since they're the main part of your growth environment.)
I find I'm almost nothing like my mom who is always positive regardless of the situation, very outspoken, great at socializing and tackles problems easily. On the other hand I'm not that much like my dad either. This is just a random thought that popped up in my head and was just wondering if anyone else is like this or aren't. 😅

I'm definitely more like my mum and my gran, my dad is quite and angry man so i'm glad I didn't take after him with his bleak attitude. My brother did though so that's loads of fun. My mum and gran are positive people who have bigger outlooks on life, and I tend to share those opinions and outlooks.

Looking wise, I take after my mothers side, I'm small framed and I have their nature. I'm not a clone, but I share their views and tend to try looking on the brighter sides of life when I can.

I get my creativity and sense of humor from my mom. I get my practical sense and money handling from my dad. I always used to think I was way more like him, but as I've gotten older I've seen more how it's half and half.

My mum and I butt heads so much because we are so alike it is crazy how that works out 😂 Love her to pieces 🥺
I was so interested to see the poll results!

I'm more like my dad, he taught me mechanics from a young age and used to take me fishing. He's still around, but grumpier in his old age, I swear everything that passes his lips is a complaint. He still works but less so, and he works for the same company I just got a job with which is cool and interesting, looking forward to working and learning from him over the year(s). He's always been a hard worker and my idle in that regard as my mother finished college and stayed at home, but she has qualifications in short hand writing and report taking.

Yes, the thing I got from my mother is insanely bad: when I get mad for something that has nothing to do with my family (for example a bad grade or when I argue with a friend), I say bad things to my parents or I treat them badly, it’s a terrible habit that I wish I didn’t have

I'm like my Dad in that we both have a bit of a wacky sense of humour and find the same kind of things funny. I am also like my dad in that we both deal with a lot of the same mental health issues. I'm lucky to have him as he can often empathise with me when going through particularly difficult days, and vice versa. I do wish I was more like my Mum when it comes to her level of organisation, but nope - I also take my scatterbrained-ness from my Dad lol

A lot of my music tastes are due to his influence, too - My dad has very varied, eclectic music interests and that has passed on to me.

I’m more like my mom, though still big differences. I’m nothing like my dad at all.

Looks-wise, I take more after my mom's side of the family whereas my quirks, views, and how I respond to things are more like my dad's. We both get extremely nervous and are careful with our money and how we spend it (although in recent months I've strayed from this a bit). My dad and I also take a more logical approach to things rather than letting our feelings primarily determine how we react.

My interests differ compared to both, but I do share a love of reading with my mom. 😄

I don't think I'm like either of them to be honest haha. I feel like me and my brother are nothing like them at least personality wise. We still look like them obviously, but I don't think we're like them at all. I think that we're kind of the opposite of them but not in a bad way I think it's actually a bit better that way~ :)

I'm a lot more like my Dad, however from the looks I'm a copy of my mother, it's actually incredible.
Sometimes I have to double check a picture if it's really me or a old picture of my Mom in her younger days.

But when it comes to personality, I'm a lot more like my Dad. He loves to work with wood and is pretty creative
and I'm pretty much the same. If I had tons of money and time to spend, I would be working nonstop on creating
furniture, like he does. >o<
