A fruit you'd love to see in the games?

To echo as others have said in this thread, different types of berries, berry bushes would be nice (strawberries and raspberries especially). I'd also like to see pineapples, always thought that would've been a good tropical/island fruit to include.

I agree with fruit others have said, especially berries. We already have flower bushes, why not just sprinkle in some berry bushes!

I also think watermelon and dragonfruit would be wonderful. Maybe even starfruit or longan!

I think grapes would be cool as a vine plant. I think pineapples are more of a bush and don't grow on trees though. It would probably still work as a tree fruit because a lot of people don't know they actually don't grow on trees.

Blueberries are a favorite of mine and of my Guinea Pigs. I could see it growing on bushes.

This will never happen since this fruit is too obscure and mostly only found in Oregon and Washington, but if they added marionberries that grew in bushes I would lose it. If you haven't heard of them, they're a unique type of blackberries that taste amazing in marionberry pie and ice cream.

I was kinda lowkey expecting tropical fruit when the island life was mentioned. So they were going to do away with the staple fruit and bring a bunch of tropical in this time. Which would feel kind of weird having the main stay fruit gutted.

I would love pineapple and seeing all the different diy they made up with it.


I would also love to see corn. We had corn rows in New Leaf as furniture and it's a shame we didn't get it back as a vegetable. Also the watermelon furniture and how it split apart if you toggled it. Missed opportunity to keep adding more fruit/veggies after the first and final gardening update. It felt like they meant to do more with this idea but stopped due to time constraints, the pandemic, and then ultimately Splatoon 3 took priority so NH was put on the backburner.

I tried a kiwi for the first time recently and absolutely loved it

Amazingly someone brought me in a Durian to try after years of searching for one. The smell had me dry heaving, the taste was fine when I didn’t breathe through my nose, but I made the mistake of ‘testing’ my nostrils and immediately started gagging.

The nice surprise was the same person also brought in Lychees, which I’d also never tried, and those were actually really good.
