Why does this game insist on giving me the same diys. I’d like to complete them, but it’s not going to happen if the game insists on giving me repeats, and nothing but repeats.

The worst is when they insist on giving you DIY that you got during the tutorial stage. Like that's just garbage. You can't use it and you can't trade it.

The way the game handled the diy was done so poorly. I hated having to farm the balloons to try to find something that was integral to the game and holiday. This game is heavily focusing on designing, so locking a lot of the content behind a wildly hard rng was just a bad idea. And it's clear they did this to pad the game's content/timing because before Nov. 2021 the game was very bare and we were all being starved of basic content from previous games.

They could've made collecting seasonal diy new and exciting, but choose to be lazy. The way building snowmen worked was great. I actually had fun doing that because I knew if I did it right at least I was guaranteed a new diy. The dev team was split between Splatoon and NH. So seeing as Splatoon got 3 games in the span of ten years and AC only got one, I'm a bit disappointed they threw the series I like more on the backburner.

I really wish if they won’t let us store flowers in storage (change back to seeds even) have a greenhouse, or something because flowers at time feel worse than weeds of older games taking over your town.

That’s a great idea of them changing into seeds. I would love it if we had a greenhouse to store them in.

I hate that we can’t skip our first campsite visitor, decline them moving in, or tt to change who we get. I don’t want Ed lol. I’d gladly take who I had on my main island (who I didn’t want either at the time lol), which was Graham.

I wish the game let me rename my rep and island. so many other games let me rename my character/profile name. Why not AC? (please don’t not reply; I’m not looking for an reply). I’m getting closer to finishing my catalogues and I got an idea on how I want to make my island but the name doesn’t go at all and I wish a lot of times I could change my rep’s name and my other player characters.

I wish there was a better in-game trading system in place than just going to each other's islands, because it feels like it takes forever to do ONE trade! I don't know how this would work practically, but for a while I've wanted a kind of "auction house" where I can just throw up my extra DIYs and not have to think about the whole process of trading them out to people. (And we had an auction house in CF!)

I wish Gulliver/Varr would stop giving me the clothing items and give me more of the furniture.

i sometimes wish villagers repeated lines from a lower friendship level their friendship status is maxed out.. it's annoying to hear the same 5 lines over and over, lol

I wish the room sketch app worked on our rep’s house and it orders all the items that you used for the design that you don’t have in your storage.

This would be perfect. I was trying to make a room last night with the room stretch app for the event. I had to write down the names of the items I needed to order so didn’t forget and get the wrong ones. Being able to order from the app would make things so much easier.

This app would be so much more helpful if they did this; maybe the next game they will do that and let us decorate the houses without a need for dlc. I really like this app a lot now that I tried it out; the only thing helpful when it comes to the player’s house is that you can make the rooms the size of the house room dimensions (i had to look it up what the dimensions were though) while at harv’s studio you can’t change anything, otherwise for brainstorming ideas for our rep’s house, harv’s studio would get the same job done except for ordering the items. It does save me the trouble of traveling to harv’s studio though if I don’t want to go there, but the app doesn’t let you move around or interact with the items.

Is lagging still a problem with islands that have a lot of items?
I think I've experienced a lil lag recently which never happened before despite having more itmes before noe.
Maybe I need more trees

When you get a recipe for a DIY bench from a villager who is also crafting a DIY bench on their DIY bench…

Wish my villagers wouldn’t sit on the road path and would sit on benches more. I placed a bench and one of my villagers ran to it and sat, then proceeded to sit on the floor again.

Also my two snooty villagers aren’t giving me the diy i want, i dont want recipes or halloween furniture

I'm surprised that this doesn't get brought up more often. This is actually something that really annoys me, especially if there's a citycore theme going on. The game is coded in a way so that villagers can sit next to trees or the river shore (which was never a thing in past titles), but for some reason will prioritize that behavior regardless of the surroundings. I've mentioned it before, but I've had villagers sit in a 1x1 path with a fence on one side and the river on another, and I even have a dedicated area near said river for my villagers to hang out at, but I rarely encounter anyone there. So annoying.

It doesn't help that you could have a tree directly next to a dedicated walking pathway (I've had many of these in the past), and villagers will sit and block the road. Ya think maybe they could've coded it so that if the pathway is a form of stone it doesn't happen...

Adding onto the above couple comments…before it was released NH showed how interactive the villagers are with the environment and proceeded to show examples. What caught my eye was the instruments. When the game came out I built a concert area as quickly as I could, because in my head I saw all my villagers there having a jam session.
Reality: I think I’ve found a lone villager in there playing with an instrument maybe twice lol
