Nintendo was aware of the amiibo glitch a few days before this new bug came to light so I think they'd patch that along with the balloon bug? There's no patch notes yet though. ; v ;

Let's see... the camping glitch, relocation glitch, and "several other bugs" have been fixed. It looks like some glitched things from before the update will have to be redone, though.

If the version notation at the top right of the software title screen is "Ver. 1.1.2" or "Ver. 1.1.2a", it has been updated.
General
Under certain conditions, animals that had been invited to move from another island did not move and the vacant land to be relocated remained closed.

After the renewal, the land that has been closed will return to uncontracted and you will be able to relocate new animals.

We are very sorry, but animals that were scheduled to migrate at the time of the malfunction will not return to the original island and will not be migrated this time.
Fixed a bug that caused the raccoon to stop asking the Islanders under certain conditions to secure construction land for new migrants.

After the update, if the island has developed to a certain state (if the raccoon store is under construction or completed), a specific event will occur during the next island broadcast during the next islander's play, Will progress.
Fixed a bug where deleting a user under certain conditions would make it impossible to apply for relocation of homes and facilities.

After updating, you can apply for relocation again.
Fixed an issue where purchasing items from Lodley on an outlying island on a tour going out on "mile miles" reduced the money you had with miles.
Several other bugs have been fixed.

Hopefully under "several other bugs."
So, it sounds like they fixed the glitch when inviting a villager from another island (now the villager will move out properly and their former property will be empty), but they don't mention Amiibo.
They don't mention the balloon glitch either.
However, they do say "A number of other bugs were fixed," so maaaaybe the Amiibo and balloon glitches were included in that... Though I assume the "other bugs" were more likely smaller issues.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could have more than one island right about now...
This needs more attention
So, anyone who already popped 300+ balloons can test to see if they are spawning like they should? It will probably be easy to test it with the high spawn rates because of Bunny Day (I'm in the southern hemisphere so there's no Sakura event for me rn)
