I'm still young (16) so I cant rlly ask my parents to get me a Nintendo switch in March. My only other option is to get it for my birthday in November or December for Christmas but I'm so scared it will sell out by then, do youse think I'll still be able to get it by then

I don't really know tbh. Most people say LE consoles sell out quickly and the popular opinion is that you won't even get your hands on it at all if you don't preorder now. However, the Pok?mon Switch Lite and Switch are still available, so maybe they'll stock up on the LE in a couple of months after the release. I wouldn't get my hopes up anyway.

Yeah, it's hard to tell. Nobody really knows what Nintendo is going to do in terms of restocking it, but I believe that since its so popular that they'll release more. This is the best looking switch design imo. Hope you are able to get it for your birthday/christmas though!

Often times there will be second hand consoles up a while after release though, so you might be lucky and be able to snatch one of those. You can never be sure of course, but even if it's no longer available and your parents can get you a regular Switch with the game there are some cool covers & decals available that you could use to personalise it!

The Pok?mon Switch Lite LE is still being sold officially after 4 months, I think if anything they'd plan on more Animal Crossing versions being needed. So if buying earlier isn't an option, I think the odds are pretty alright.

if you absolutely can’t raise money for it in the next month or so, there should be some available second hand on eBay by November/December

Yeah, not to stress you out, but there are already a few places that have sold out so even waiting a week, you might not be able to find it.

You can never be sure of course, but even if it's no longer available and your parents can get you a regular Switch with the game there are some cool covers & decals available that you could use to personalise it!

im pretty sure there's lil sticker decals on etsy that look exactly like the ac switch so those are always an option. if you go the sticker route i'd get the plain gray switch as it's not a bright color and perfect for just being a background for stickers. you may even be able to get joycon shells instead of stickers that look like the ac joycons, but those are a bit more expensive and require equipment to put together i believe. you could also get the ac switch accessories such as the pro controller and switch case (idk if theyre limited edition like the switch).

unfortunately i highly doubt it'll still be in stock by the time those months roll around; i've been hearing people say that when they went to preorder it in store their cashier said that they only got 10 to sell! i always say limited edition things are only good if you're able to get your hands on it and i still stand by that statement.

Yeah I rlly hope so, you can still buy that switch in a shop near where I live. Plus I live in Ireland so it will probably be less in demand compared to where majority of youse would live such as the uk/us/asia

if at all possible since you're still young what i recommend is if you ever get money, put some of it towards savings for something special to buy for yourself. this is not animal crossing specific, just general advice if you get the chance. every penny helps for when surprises like these that you really really want come along.

Yeah, that's a really good tip! Even just a little like a euro would be good... and yeah surprisingly you can still get the pokemon let's go switch in cex after being released in 2018 lmao

Maybe your parents will be willing to buy you one now and save it for your birthday. If you explain that it's limited edition and may be hard to get later, maybe they will buy it now and just hang onto it for a while.

i follow a twitter that is animal crossing news that gives updates on acnh switch restocks (@AcPocketNews). it seems like the switch is selling out very very quickly. so much so that people are looking to export the switch from different regions outside of their own. i?m definitely pretty ignorant on the subject so i can?t say whether or not i think it will be available when you want but i?d check out that twitter maybe. definitely seems like it?s already sold out in a lot of places and is hard to get your hands on.

they'll definitely still have it in stores. big consoles like that don't just stop selling, thankfully.

personally, i am probably gonna get mine in march. it all depends on money. if not, maybe april or may. hopefully march though!

and if you won't be able to get the game until your bday either- at least you'll be able to watch some lets plays while you're waiting. that could give you some more insight on what there is to do in the game- it'll get you prepared.

since i don't already own a switch, i will get the ac console with acnh. can't wait! good luck <3
