Alternative for people who dont currently have AC

I used to have the game but I sold my 3ds for credit towards my switch so I can get Horizons.
I am feeling pretty left out in this event as I cannot participate and I am sure there are a few other people that are having the same issue.

Are there any alternatives for people like me who may not have access to the game so we can still participate?

I have emulated some New Leaf towns on my laptop but im not sure if im allowed to post those pictures. there is a chance you could find pit traps in the emulated new leaf game and push the villagers in.

you can use pocket camp for the feng shui one, however it doesn't have pitfall seeds so you're outta luck there.

To get what they want in this event you would have to play PC for months and spend real money.

Not everyone has New Leaf anymore so yeah. Feeling left out and sick of being told to try Pocket Camp.

I can barely see what I'm typing let alone play mobile games.

like i said emulators exists. depends on how much RAM you have on your laptop/PC though. Heck most of my towns are emulated

when you're new to pocket camp it's actually really easy to get a lot of items in just a few days since there's tons of rewarding newbie quests. there's also a christmas event going on now that gives out tons of red/green items which you can use for feng shui.

installing one game temporarily isn't gonna do much, you also don't have to buy anything or interact with anyone else.

ok if it's because of your vision i can get that, don't really understand the rest but it's w/e

i'd suggest to just do the activities you can, i'm sure you won't need to participate in every single one to get some collectibles you're after

Then like... too bad I guess? I don't know. Notifications can be disabled and you won't have to do microtransactions if you don't want to. But I'm not sitting here trying to convince you to play so don't know what to tell you otherwise

I mean I've never known of any game changing personal settings or whatever, and notifications typically can be disabled (also, really aren't that spammy to begin with, in my experience)

hey dude it's fine if you don't wanna download it or play online games but you don't have to enable notifications or change your settings. i've had the game since launch (oct/nov 2017) and haven't gotten a single notification from it.

Unfortunately, we won’t be adding alternatives to the animal crossing game-related activities. While we understand that there may be some events that not everyone can participate in due to not owning the game anymore, we cannot accommodate alternative options as it would not be fair to the many others who do play the games and enter under the requirements. This is still an animal crossing forum after all, so animal crossing events will always be a staple here! There’ll be plenty of other activities in the coming weeks (not just animal crossing game related) that will contribute to balloon token points! Hope you guys understand!
