So I thought getting cards in my local walmarts and targets would be easy.... But just checked and they are all sold out! Dafuq! Anyone have tips and tricks to getting them in stores? Any fun stories with getting them?

They're sold out at both EB Games in my location. I managed to find four packs at Toys R Us so that was pretty cool. I walked up to the cashier and was like, "I don't wanna be that guy, but I'm gonna be that guy" and then placed all four packs (cleaning them out) of cards on the counter. x3

But yeah, they're hard to find unless you buy them online which can be more expensive sadly.

It's not my story, but my friend recently set out to buy a bunch, and even after going to like 3 or 4 gamestops, he bought them out and only got 6 total. those things are scarce!

Toys r us is a good idea I wouldn't think about! Idk I'm all self conscious and going tin to get them... I really wanted to get them at Walmart since they have self checkout

That's scary! My friend and I have been buying them weekly since the game came out. 24 packs between the two of us. Our Gamestop ran out first, but Target and Walmart still have a bunch... and we haven't even been to our Toys R Us yet.

Cards are pretty scarce. I went to 8 stores on Sept 25th (including EB Games, Best Buy, Wal-mart, Toys R Us, and my local indie game store). I ended up with 19 packs total that day. Of the stores I went to, 4 had received no cards at all, 1 had received four boxes and was limiting purchases to 3 per person, 2 had received two boxes, and my indie store had received four. I've gone back a couple of times to my indie store and picked up a few more packs but I think they're pretty tired of me at this point. I'd have loved to have picked up a couple of booster boxes but that wasn't an option.

After buying about 25 packs, I still need about 20 cards to complete the set (I haven't done any trading as yet and have been giving cards to friends).

Everywhere I go (GameStop, target, Walmart, Fred Meyer, best buy, toys r us) they are sold out within the first few hours on the day the store get them. The only way I can ever get any is if my boyfriend tells the guys in the electronics department at the Fred Meyer where he works to set some aside when they get them in shipment. They always sell out that day before my boyfriend gets off work at like 10am and is able to go grab them (that's like within the first 3 hours the store is open). It's freaking ridiculous who knew they would be such a hot commodity

I guess I will just have to try walking in every time I'm near a walmart and stuff... I have the day off tomorrow, might try the 3 gamestops around town and 1 toys r us

Ok driving to every place tryna find some of these.... Toys r us had like 8 rows for them and all were gone....

They're impossible to get here -- apparently they sell out within hours even with limits (4 packs I think). I was lucky that I preordered a few packs on amazon, because Amazon sells out within minutes each time they get more, I haven't been able to get them again! (I mean when amazon actually has them at their $5.96 price, not the 3rd party sellers). I'm glad I have a handful of cards to use but it's really frustrating!

I haven't been able to find ANY, online or in store. If I hadn't had Gamestop hold a pack for me, I wouldn't even have the lone pack that I do.

I can't believe how impossible these are to find now!

I also went to a best buy, target, 2 walmarts and 2 game stops... Nothing

I am located in Western Canada and the cards are hard to find here. The three closest Walmart locations got nothing. My local EB Games, again nothing. The day the cards released I was up at 6AM reserving the 3 packs I was allowed online at Best Buy and I managed to get two packs at the closest Toys R Us, went back a couple days later because the urge to collect was strong and they were completely sold out.

Nintendo is just awful. Why am I even giving them my money at this point anymore? ):

Well, Walmart finally had them available online. I was going to order them and do store pick-up...but they sold out while I was completing the order. But I was able to have them shipped to my house. I really hate the maximum allowance...especially since it doesn't do much to keep the damn things in stock. >.<

Although my local GameStop was completely sold out a day after release, my Walmart remains to have about 3/4 of it's original cards.. The 1/4 was purchased by me.

I'm having no problem what so ever. I have gotten three packs so far. My Walmart has like 6 packs and GS had like 5 when I went yesterday. I just bought a pack from wamart lol.

WHERE DO YOU LIVE! lol jk thats creepy...

So sorry to hear this, you guys! At my "home" GameStop, I am, like, the only person who buys amiibo cards. They still have a near-full box from release day- the only packs missing are ones that I bought. (They're kept behind the counter, on that table where they showcase special-edition systems.)
