Amiibo-Invite Villager with "Gold Armor"-request

Dear community,

I would like to ask for your help concerning the following issue.
With villagers "now" even being able to share cooking-recipes, I see my chances having quasi converged to zero getting the
DIY-recipe for the "Gold Armor" from a "smug"-personality-villager.
Seeing one washed on shore is not likely either.

Hence, I would like to ask you a question:
Does anybody of you got requested to make a "Gold Armor" when inviting a "smug"-personality-villager via Amiibo? If yes, who was your villager?

I invited Julian over and over again, though, his requests at some point start to repeat.
As one of my last hopes, I would like to probe, whether some villagers have "special" DIY-requests programmed in.
Getting my hands on the corresponding Amiibo would be another issue; the first step, though, would be to make sure that there indeed is one reliably requesting the elusive suit.

I actually got one from a bottle.

But the fastest way to obtain it is to ask at the Nook's Cranny subforum.

I've never heard of any villager who requests a specific item more than others of the same personality, and I can't imagine Nintendo would take time to program it that way. It's all about luck, and if smugs given the DIY, you just need to keep trying.

@Rosch is right, though- the fastest and easiest way to get it would be to buy it off someone here. Otherwise, it seems you just need to keep doing what you're doing and keeping your fingers crossed.
