Amiibo issues

So, I tried to scan Bunnie in to live on my island but she declined despite me giving her a birdhouse she asked for. Im not sure why as the amiibo functionality definitely works, but why do none of them accept the invite?

How many villagers are currently in your town?
Maybe you need to keep trying? I remember in New Leaf, they'd sometimes keep declining too and you just had to keep trying to convince them.

Hi!

You need to invite villagers to your Campsite at least 3 times before they accept!
On the third time (after having completed the third request, one each time they visit) you can invite them and they will accept ONLY if you have a plot available!

To buy additional plots, it's 10k bells from Nook.

That's correct!
You also have to fulfill their request each time.

I've done it with no issues!

Just a note, when I invited Ankha the 3rd time and tried to get her to move in, she accepted but I didn't have an open plot so she wasn't able to.
I was able to hurry and buy one from Nook, set it up, and spoke to her again & she accepted and WAS able to move in so no need to go to a 4th day.

ooh, I don't know! I never had anyone random show up and went straight to using amiibos, but that's a good question!

And has any news been given that the they will release a new set of Amiibo's since this game introduced some new characters?
