Amount of HHP homes at once? (Possible spoilers!)

So it appears like I can only have 40-50 designed HHP homes at a time but feel I’ve read on here it’s infinite - so what’s the correct answer, please? Can I have as many at one time as I like or when I get to a certain amount are old homes overwritten? Please and thanks!

It's unlimited, as you can give houses to all non-Sanrio villagers (+ Sanrio villagers and NPCs if you have their amiibos). So for example, if you gave Sasha then Shino the same plot on A1, they'd each have their own copy of the plot and their own home and their homes could be accessed at any time, but Shino's face would appear on the map since their house was the last one to be worked on. The only time a house would be deleted would be if you made a villager you gave a house to roommates with another villager.

Well the best response I can give you is that you can do as many homes as you want. If you want to get rid of someone's home that you don't like the best to do is to pair them up with another villager. To do this you have to talk to Niko, go to someone's home, talk to them and select "Hows your Home?" and "Let's Talk Roommates". When you do that make sure you set back at the table and then there is the option to ask Niko about "Talking to a Homeowner?" and then thats when you pick the villager who you want to get rid of. Niko will mention that once they are paired up with another villager their home will be gone. So make sure to confirm this. If you do it right the villager will move in and they will live with the other one as roommates and their home will be gone.

As far as I know there is no limit to how many homes you can do. Even if for some reason you reach up to 400 villagers and have all their homes built you can still do more with the special NPC villagers and the Sanrio villagers that is if you have their amiibo cards.
