An ebay expirience

I ordered a cheap Hori brand d-pad joycon off ebay. It was listed as new, upon receiving the controller, I see that the controller's package has been previously opened. I haven't tried it out yet to see if it has the drift. I also haven't contacted to seller about this, since I had to ask if there was something preventing them from shipping the product.

Should I contact them before giving them neutral or negative feedback, saying something like "item was listed as new, arrived previously opened"?

If it has the drift I'd give them a negative, but if not I'd give them a neutral. Was the item description listed as new and unused, or just new? A lot of times a product is just tried out, but still qualifies as new for people.

I'd also contact the seller first and see what they say. In my experience, they're usually pretty good with working with buyers.

But yes, also check if it has drift.
