Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Info Thread

I'm a bit confused, to be honest. Are the cards optional? Do I buy the cards only if I want to decorate a specific villager's room, or do I need the cards to decorate period?

If I need to buy the cards, I can't justify buying the game for the same reason I didn't buy amiibo - for me, it's all or nothing haha.

They didn't really elaborate much on that

is it just me or does it look like they've switched over to having the ability to move items on half squares?

It does look like a half-space or something in-between the coffee table and the sofa.

I wonder if they'll employ a grid system like in The Sims? It would make things easier.

Can someone clarify if there will be a town as well? Perhaps your own house? I'm confused if the game is entirely designing houses I personally don't see too much of a point to fork over all the cash, although I've never been too excited about decorating houses.

Nobody knows yet.

Why do ppl want 10 of the same villager card??

Because the only thing better than designing your dreamy's house is designing your dreamy's house, then having a giant dreamy clone party?

Not sure, but regardless, the mental picture of 10 Marshals dancing around and singing is hilarious. :)

It'd probably please that one person who decided to have a town dedicated to Marshal.

I think the cards will be optional.
Nintendo send out an e-mail for the direct and said this about the game;
"By using the first set of amiibo cards in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, players can enjoy a whole new Animal Crossing gameplay experience."

so idk i read that as in using the cards gives u a different experience as if you weren't to use the cards

I would like it if the amiibo cards have the information of that villager on the back of the card and come with letters like the E-Reader cards did.

I think that the way you move furniture will be how you'll be able to place PWPs and maybe villager houses in the new AC game
