Not very much happened today, but as for what did happen, I'll be hitting the high notes.
I exited my house today, but immediately went right back in, where I changed into a whole new outfit for the day. I was getting a little tired of my purple getup, and decided to shake things up with my red ensemble.

I spoke to Walker nearby, but all he would talk about was how his outfit looked. I started my walk around town, finding Punchy by the lighthouse. He gave me a bromeliaceae as a gift...this may be the one from his house. If so, I'll be mailing it (or another plant) back to him soon. Up by Re-Tail, I saw Saharah walking around! She was just here a few days ago, it seems! Nevertheless, I was feeling generous, so I enlisted her "help" in getting some more wallpaper. As it turns out, it was 3,000 Bells down the toilet: she gave me a shanty wall and a kitchen tile, neither of which were exclusive. Still, out of curiosity, I put the kitchen tile down in my kitchen to see if it looked nice. It's fine, but I prefer my old carpet...

I continued my walk around town, soon finding the money rock. I managed to snap this pic of the train going by. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember something about the orange train being a rare sight. I wonder if this is it...

Rosie wanted something to replace the makeup case in her house, but since it fits her place so well, I opted not to find her anything. Lolly pinged me by the east bridge, and gave me a blue-grid shirt. After checking around a bit more, I headed up to Main Street to the shops. I found a pop-up book for my catalog in T&T, but not much else, so I bought my daily fertilizer, got Blathers to assess my fossils, and headed back south of the tracks.
After selling my findings for the day, I turned the game off to eat lunch, then came back a while later. Apollo pinged me by the Roost, and said he planned on moving on the 9th. AGAIN?!? How many times must we go through this, Apollo...you are here forever. The faster you realize this, the better off you'll be. Only Al is allowed, nay, encouraged to move. The rest of you are staying with me until further notice. I saw Eugene down on the beach by his house, and he wanted me to deliver something to Mira that she forgot at his house. Rather than ask why Mira was hanging out at Eugene's house when Eugene is supposed to be with Astrid, I agreed to take whatever Mira had lost back to her. It took me a few minutes to find Mira, but when I did find her, she said she had already bought a replacement beaded shirt. She offered me that one for free, and I happily took it off her hands for her. Always nice to get free stuff!
A bit later, Apollo was in his house, and I dropped in on him. He wanted a piece of fruit, and I agreed to help him out. I headed to the nearest fruit tree and shook him down an apple. He enjoyed it, and gave me a sharp outfit as thanks. I did not look sharp in it whatsoever.

To end the day, I saw that my Lollykins was home, and decided to drop in on her. She asked me if I could guess what she was thinking of at that moment, and I guessed the past. I was wrong, apparently: she said her mind is usually filled with thoughts of the future. She says there's never enough time to do what she wants to do. I know that feeling, Lolly...all too well.
And that ended my day! I'll be back tomorrow with more tales from Animalia. Also: only 6 more days until Day 500! Get to voting on the police station if you haven't already!
