Anime/Manga or Cartoons/Comics

When it normally comes to a choice I like this, it's no surprise I pick Cartoons/Comics.

Although I don't read much comics, I do enjoy reading The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman whenever I'm in the mood for some post-apocalyptic literacy.

I enjoy a vast amount of TV Shows, most notably My Little Pony since it's one of the good shows that's still running nowadays and that I am a bit of a major brony. A majority of cartoons today are just plain horrible or a show that basically thinks it funny due to the fact that it's aimed at little kids since they don't know much. I don't watch much cartoons nowadays since I tend to avoid horrible shows that are on 24/7 like Teen Titans Go! (away) or Spongebob Squarepants (R.I.P Old Spongebob).

Although I am considering going back to reading the Pokemon Comics but I am certainly hyped for Volume 27 of The Walking Dead!

anime and manga. i'm not into comics that much i guess??? most comics i read are "western manga" (basically manga but not from japan lmao, but they take a lot of inspiration from manga n stuff n most . well . ."western mangakas" r weebs ) uhh..

Idk i just see comics as donald duck or boring old superhero comics, and i've never been interested in either of them really. i would probably be able to get into comics if i found some nice ones that have good stories, but tbh i much prefer manga.

Besides, manga is a thing for everyone in japan, like not only children read manga... in the west comics are mostly aimed towards children (or The Nerds) and it's just not a rly big thing.

as for anime vs cartoons uh honestly most cartoons i've watched are made for children. i've never been super into cartoons either. i would probably be able to get into a cartoon but uhhh i'm rly not interested in watching SU or something like that so idk.

i like the art of many cartoons. anime animations are usually very similar to each other which is cool n all but it's cool when you can tell what show it is because of the animation. (anime animation is great tho and a lot of it is v different (examples that come to mind are ping pong the animation, flcl, mousou dairin, kyousou giga, even shirobako and parts of the first season of tokyo ghoul).
Buuut i guess the same thing goes for anime, it's not only for ppl younger than 8 so a lot more money and effort is put into it. n also they can deal w/ other stuff than shows solely made for children

What if I like Cartoons and Manga?
For animation, I prefer cartoons because they have better stylistic choices and story themes. In anime, I tend to be extremely picky because the art style can get too generic, therefore I end up watching obscure or kiddy anime like Shin Atashin'Chi, for example.
When it comes to printed media, I prefer manga over comics. Comics are too flashy for me, and manga's black and white coloring makes everything easier to read.

I guess I like cartoons more, since I've never seen any anime besides Pokemon

While there are some Western cartoons that I enjoy, such as Adventure Time and Ruby Gloom, I definitely prefer anime. In fact, watching anime is one of my main hobbies.

They are both pretty diverse so it's kind of hard to compare but tbh as much as I love some anime I'm gonna pick cartoons. I haven't watched enough anime to consider myself a fan of anime in general and cartoons just generally interest me more honestly. I don't read comics or manga very often at all so I can't really decide on that one.

manga! I like watching cartoons but I think the only current cartoon I really like is adventure time and I've been bad at keeping up with it. in terms of anime, I find it hard to stay interested now. idk, I haven't really had the urge to watch anime in 2016. I still read manga like everyday though. a lot of shoujo because I like cheesy formulated romance apparently.

Cartoons/Comics are drawn more childish. They are mostly for younger audiences, and consist of much humor, and the story is not too complex.
Anime/Manga, however, are drawn realistically. Are aimed to older ages, and despite having some humor, the story is normally dark, consisting of death and blood (except romance anime, which sucks.), and the story is very complex

...Is your experience with comics and cartoons limited to the Beano and Rugrats?

But yea, that Squid Girl...Ultra realistic and complex...

Anime/manga because that's what I grew up with. I love both but if I had to choose, it'll be again, anime and manga. ^^
I remember staying up super duper late just to watch Inu-Yasha, Gundam Seed, Gundam Seed Destiny, Naruto, Bleach, and Full Metal Alchemist on YTV (Canadian channel)................. oh and Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and Cardcaptors. :D

anime. mangas are ok but i dont really read them because the battles doesnt seem intense or ''alive'' compared to the anime. sometimes i dont even know where to start. as for cartoons, well, lets just say that majority of them sucks except for some nick and cartoon network ones. old cartoons are great tho.

Mostly manga tbh, I prefer reading rather than just watching and, idek the manga series is most of the time better. Also I can like some adult cartoons but I don't like get the things with like, youth series(or how I should name it) like SU and those things.
