Sorry if this has been made before, but I'm really curious as to people's interests and what they've played before. :)

The first role I ever played in a production was Annie when I was 6 and I was cast as Molly, but ironically, I strongly dislike Annie now lol. I've also been in Mary Poppins, Guys and Dolls and Oklahoma! as ensemble and I starred as Violet in Willy Wonka, but the first big role I ever received was young Cosette in Les Mis, which is honestly my favorite role I've ever played besides the Witch from Into the Woods.
Since then, I've played the Lady of the Lake in Spamalot who was also really fun, Gloria from Bye Bye Birdie, Martha in 1776, and Reno from Anything Goes which was the best musical I've ever been in by far.

Clearly I'm a bit obsessed, but musicals are so important to me and I get a lot of roles cause I'm like the only mezzo-soprano in my current theatre group which consists of 20~ish people. I'm currently in Chicago as Mary Sunshine which is a lil bit of a downgrade, but it's a high school production so I don't particularly mind.
I hope to one day star as Clara in The Light in the Piazza and Sonya in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.
What roles have you guys played? What's your favorite musical? Any dream roles?

Sorry for the total word barf, I'm just super passionate and I've done A LOT and sometimes it's nice to flex how much I've done lol

When I was in middle school I loved to do tech theater. I helped with lighting and sound for grease, the lion king, and Marry Poppins. I kind of fell out of it during high school and I miss it a lot. It was so much fun!

I’m a theater geek but I’ve never actually performed in one, outside of that Noah‘a ark play in kindergarten lol. I have plans to see my first show irl later this year. :)

I once was in drama class a semester in 7th grade and really enjoy acting, but really don't have the time or the kind of mentality for theatre.

I've never performed in a play or musical, I definitely do not have that talent. And props to you for accomplishing SO much, and for being in so many great titles. I hope your career with it goes far (even if it's just High School for now). :)

I deeply enjoy theatre though, and go to see every one in my city ! I still go every year to catch my old school's shows, and I always had tons of friends who were performing in them.
Chicago is actually my favorite musical, so even though you said your role was a downgrade, that's such an exciting thing ! I hope you do well and enjoy your time up there !

I'm also partial to Little Shop of Horrors, because I saw it when I was so young originally, and who tf doesn't think every song from there slaps? :p

ayyy, musical kid gangg! i've never actually been in a play or a musical but i LOVE musicals! i have a lot of favorite musicals, more of the newer ones.

Little shop is lit. My crew leader doesn't have it on the list and my school did it the year before I transferred over so sadly I wasn't able to do it, but I heard that my school's production of little shop was really good. Most of the best musicals I've been in were put on by my theatre crew, but a couple of my good ones were school productions.

I LOOOoooooovvvvveee Little shop of horrors! Rick Moranis was a bae.

Hello just an update and I thought it would be appropriate to post here.
A local theatre group is putting on a production of Be More Chill (Not the group I usually do, but I've done productions with them before and they have some talented regulars) and I'm really mad at myself for committing to the school musical because ever since Be More Chill came off broadway I've been wanting to do it.
I know the rights to it were just recently released and it's possible that my troupe will do it, but I really want to. Should I try and do both or wait? I'm not going to quite my school musical though cause I love my drama teacher and would never betray her
