Any Theme Plans For Your Island?

I'm currently debating between "small town Main Street" or farming town. Need to see what further customization options are available to me before settling on one, however.

if it is possible I will create a modern japanese town, we have interesting option for restaurant, school, supermarket from happy home designer. I hope we will have them in new horizon.

Hooo, boy! I have so many ideas in mind!
If we have the furniture, a sort of "haunted" tropical island.
Or a post-apocaliptic/zombie outbreak scenario where the only survivors were scientists who shelter themselves on the island to find a cure. (if the mad scientist set is in the game, that would be perfect)

I never really done a theme before, as I have always gone for a nice cozy town that I can come home to everyday. If I do a theme, I kinda like some of the natural furniture, like the wooden bench we saw in the first trailer. I kinda always liked natural wood things and I especially liked them in Pocket Camp. Another theme I would probably do is some sort of cute fantasy town, as the name I'm picking for my island is sort of fantasy in a way. Hopefully they will have some fantasy themed like furniture. :p

Oh god the possibilities are endless for themes. I really enjoy studio ghibli movies so making a town/island inspired around those movies is what i strive for

And around seasons, i would decorate the town to fit the festivities,,like halloween, i'd put jack o lanterns around town or for xmas, i'd put xmas items around. eeeee i could go on and on about what i want for my town.

Definitely go with the flow! But I?d like to see if they add any themes

Probably just go with the flow as well. I'd like to see the stuff they've added. I hope there is more Nintendo items for series like F-Zero and Punch Out. But we'll see when we get closer to release.

I just realized towns will look more unique and interesting than ever now that furniture can be placed outside and with so much to choose from. Trees and furniture can be placed about anywhere now too. You can place like actual cars in your town now (assuming they include all furniture from past games). Thats gonna look so cool for city themed towns

For mine I'm going for an enchanted fairy forest vibe

I've never had a real theme before, but I used to lean towards rustic/wooden PWPs back when playing NL and I think I'll do the same this time around. Nothing modern or too fancy, just a simple village with lots of trees and flowers. I likely won't have a "theme" for villagers either, I'll just get to know whoever moves in and see if I like them.

I'm thinking of having something along the lines of amagiri brilliant park. Not too sure how I plan on doing it yet but an enchanted island with a theme park area would be really cute

I was a little wary of planning a theme for my island until evidence that one of the new wreaths available for doors is a fossil. If we can choose to put that on our own doors, I'm going all in on a dinosaur-themed island like I wanted to

I love the foresty themed towns and I can't wait to expand upon that now that New Horizons offers so much more in terms of items and how trees can be placed. I don't want a tropical theme and will probably be pretty disappointed if the hourly music is island/tropical sounding tbh.

Yooo, and you can display fossils outside now. I think that?ll be a really fun and original theme to work on

I had a friend I used to play with on WW and she?d make the most outrageous themes by covering her town in patterns. Like, a steampunk desert theme, or an alien-inhabited planet. Your idea kinda reminds me of something she?d do.
