any themes to your villagers?

as far as colour palettes, species, or personalites?

i personally wanna organize my town into having 2 of 5 different species, or 5 villagers of 2 different species, but theres so many adorable species and characters that i dont know what to do....

any tips?

I think it's really whatever makes you happy when you're walking around your island. When I first got the game, I told myself I would limit myself to only one villager of each species, but as I played I found that I didn't like some villagers I was imposing on myself and wanted other..... cats mainly lol. So now I have Raymond & Kiki and Beau & Bruce and I couldn't be happier <3

the only one villager i am attached to is Dotty
i chose others based on personalities (wanted to get max 2 of the same personality) and aesthetic!
i currently have dotty as peppy, lobo and roscoe as cranky, pietro as smug (love him so much i didnt expect!!), coco and kiki (i find normals personality to be the most SIMILIAR ones, they literally write me the same letters ) ankha as snooty and muffy as uchi, lucky and rodeo as lazies!

I would really like to have more food themed villagers. I have Frita and Sprinkle (she counts right?!) I'm definitely on the look out for Ketchup, Tangy and Merengue!

I guess not intentionally, but I have three blue coloured villagers. I didn't mean for it to happen, but I guess down the line if I wanted my villagers to be all blue, I have a head start. But as of now, in terms of animal type, all of them are different, and I think I intend to keep it that way.

if seeing your villagers water your flowers, flying around like an airplane, and having cute conversations with other villagers doesn’t bring you joy, they shouldn’t be there. don’t fit in a mold. even though bea and skye are literally the same personality type, i can’t help but loving her more. she makes me happy. i thought i would like skye more, but she’s just temporary. bea’s gonna stay ;u;

I’ve just chosen my villagers based on who I’ve bonded with the most! Somehow I ended up with a somewhat purple looking bunch of villagers so I went with it

My final villager lineup will be themed. I'm trying to enjoy not having all my favorites but I think I might snap one day and TT all the ones I don't want gone

I thought about trying to go with a theme matching the name of my island, Solfège. So I would try to have villagers whose names have "do, re, mi, fa... etc." But... There wasn't a good mix of personalities when I tried looking through. So many normals and not a single jock.

Side note, if anyone could figure out a good way to do all 7 without more than one repeat personality, that'd be great. The ones I've come up with were Dobie, Renee, [a handful for mi], Fauna, Soleil, [literally nobody for la], and... Tia? Idk.

I’m heading In that direction too! This is why I want 2 islands. I need one for all the cat villagers I love and then a separate one for the rest that I love
