Anyone else save letters from their villagers?

I've saved around 10-15 of the sweetest, most inspirational, or motivating letters from some of my favorite villagers. I don't like to keep a ton of letters saved, but there are just a few that I can't bear to get rid of. When I re-read them, they make me smile. ❤

Yeah, I think right now I have two saved on my NH town. One is from Diana and the other is from Nana. My heart absolutely melts at how sweet some of them are.

I haven't gotten any from Wolfgang that I saved BUT I love Wolfgang

I love getting letters from Wolfgang. He's like Ooo I'm so grumpy and then I get these letters and I'm like lol, sir, you wish. My two faves:

"Hey Jessie... I was just walkin' around the other day, thinkin' about nothin' in particular, when suddenly I thought of you. Not sure why, but I thought I'd better send you a quick note in case you felt like writin' back. Hope to hear back. -Wolfgang"

"Hey there, Jessie! How's life treatin' you these days? It seemed like a good time to write you a note and check in. I know I might be grumpy from time to time, but I'm really rootin' hard for you, kiddo. Sincerely, Wolfgang"

I straight up started crying after the second one. 🥺

i also do the same!! it’s crazy how virtual characters can bring us so much joy, this is why i love ac, all the villagers would be the perfect friends irl 🥺

and somehow they’re letters really do lift up my spirits, like you said certain ones are so motivational and kind. i also have to save the funny ones, they always give me a good laugh!

For real, some of the villager letters can be so touching. I got one from Diana that read: "Do you ever feel down in the dumps? I certainly do! When that happens, I like to rearrange my room. It's refreshing -and empowering- to reshape the world around you. Go on! Give it a try!" It probably sounds so simple and plain, but I have depression and OCD and so the letter just kind of hit me differently than I think it might hit some people.

I used to kind of be ashamed of that, you know? e.e; How these lil villagers could cheer me up the way they do because they aren't real? But now that I'm a lil older, I just don't are. I love these lil buggers, lol.

omg yes! any letter from my villagers that makes me smile or makes a bad day better i keep saved! so far i think i have about 20 or so saved? i know they're just randomly generated and little pixel animals, but they make me so happy!

i really need to start sending letters back. ;w;

I save every villager letter. I delete the others, like from Redd, Nook shopping, etc...
I'm not sure what i will do once my box gets full. Delete starting from the oldest, or delete based on the content of the letter?
Hmm...

I save all the cute letters I receive. Like the ones when they say they thought about me, or the lazy's ones because they're always saying something cute

I save the letters from my villagers that I find to be sweet, uplifting or amusing - generally if they've made me smile then the letter gets saved, I don't actually often look back at them but I like to keep them around as a little 'pick me up'. I currently have quite a few saved so won't list them all but these are a couple of my favourites:

"My dearest tulip, I want you to know you are a fabulous friend, and I appreciate you for being you. Sometimes I forget to say it, darling, but I want you to know that I think it often. I am lucky to have you as a friend! Sincerely, Diana" - snooty villagers are often portrayed as been rude and hard to befriend (I've never had any problems with them though and they're my favourite personality) so I thought this letter was particularly touching with how kind it was.

"Dear Cupcake, Hey, I just wanted to say that I'm so happy I met you. I couldn't have said it in person without getting all flustered and weird. And now I'm sure all of our future interactions will be 100% normal! Straightforwardly, Raymond" - smug villagers are usually polite and kind anyway but this was another letter I found particularly sweet.

"Is it just me, lollipop? OK, so this might sound strange, but whenever I see numbers lining up, I get excited. Like, if I happen to look at my clock just as the time flips over to 11:11, I feel like that might be important, somehow... Your weird friend, Fauna" - its not a touching letter like the other two but it made me smile as I could relate to it - when I was very young I would make a wish if I saw a clock and it read 11:11 (or 22:22) as I thought they were important times.

i only save/favorite the birthday thank-you notes they send, and then the first letter they ever send me -- same goes for NPCs. if they still sent birthday invites and farewell letters, i'd save them too (just like i did in NL), but they removed those in this game for whatever reason.

I try to save as many as I can. All the junk mail that comes with buying something from the catalog and things like that I’ll toss, but I like to keep the villager ones for as long as I can.

I save the letter that they send when they've moved away... I always feel sad, even if i didnt even like the villager :(

I save the sweet or unique ones. If I get too full I do eventually go through and delete the repeats. Going through and seeing old villagers does get surprisingly nostalgic. XD

I save letters that were sweet, funny, or notable in any way. Most of them are event related like birthdays and stuff like that. I used to save most letters from my villagers but there wasn't enough space so I had to delete a lot of them, but I still have several letters from my old villagers.

I save quite a few. Anything that makes me smile, whether because it's sweet or funny. On a bad day it's really nice to be able to look through them, and it's a cute reminder of villagers who've moved away. I love the letter feature :)
