Not gonna lie this update kinda has me stressed out - I haven’t played much lately and I feel like I need to redo a bunch of my island now to make room for new items/etc. Is anyone else planning on doing an overhaul for this update? Or feel anxiety about making big changes?? Please tell me I’m not the only one lol
no, i feel the same. my island is pretty much done at this point, and i don't have room for multiple 5x5 crop fields, the new cave item or even the windmill. it's definitely stressing me out, especially since the crops are required for cooking. my island isn't as open as some people's -- a river cuts right through it -- but i like it the way it is, so i don't want to adjust the terrain or anything. if we could store turnips, i'd maybe have room to squeeze in a single field with a few of each crop, but unless that changes in this update, i'm at a loss.
lol yes, I just started walking through my island to see where I can put new stuff. I guess it's somewhat stressful since most of my island is basically done and I like what I already have. But there's also enough time to get ready for the big update so I'm not too worried.
I can't wait for this update because it'll make every island that much more unique!
I have just finished flattening it because I had a feeling this direct would shake things up. I'm excited to redesign my island with all the QoL updates and items now!
my island is overrun by flowers and i haven't done any collecting of anything really, i'm ready to restart. my island basically looks the same as it did when i first got the game lol. i'm overwhelmed by all the new content and it makes me wanna start COMPLETELY over. just wipe the slate clean. done.
I think it’s possible to change up your island a bit without flattening the whole thing. You don’t have to completely start fresh with the new update if you don’t want to. Maybe a few minor changes would do the trick? I was really attached to a certain part of my island I could never get rid of.
I honestly have been debating on resetting… again… just to get the feeling of starting over and working my way up with more than just two main goals (kk and terraforming)
I haven’t played in MONTHS and this made me excited again. I don’t think I can hop back into a file I wasn’t excited about for so long
Weirdly enough I'm currently in the middle of redesigning parts of my island that I wasn't happy with for some time so now I can just work with the new impending updates rather than tear everything down and start again.
I probably won't be doing a complete re-do but geez,I definitely have to make some space for all that new stuff.Fortunately(or perhaps unfortunately)my islands are always in a constant state of flux so I should be able to cram it in there somewhere.
I left 4 empty patches around my island because I was hopeful we would get something like this, but I was not expecting this much. Is going to be fun to redo some parts.
yuuup. probably restarting completely because i just don't feel that attached to my old island anymore after having spent such a long time away from it. can't decide if i'm excited or anxious about it yet...
Yea i'm going to completely reset my island to prepare for the new update. I haven't been interested in the game for a long time and my island is kind of a mess so it's not a huge loss
I tore everything down a week or 2 ago and am still in the process of trying to finish up. This is just the terraforming part. I haven't decorate much at all so I have small plots in random places. Going to use those for my veggies. Kind of glad I did too because I just had a lot of flowers everywhere before.
